Some of them probably don't know where to look, or are too lazy to look, or have some other limitation of what they can buy (like being unable/unwilling to buy international). But in some cases it's just that the dresses that are for sale are in worse condition or more expensive than someone is willing to pay.
Like my DD has popped up a lot of times but always with major staining or fading or missing key pieces, and always for hilarious scalper prices for their damaged junk dress. And I'm pretty sure mostly it's the same few copies of it getting resold over and over when buyers realize they can't fix it.
