Why on socials toned down lolita, gothic that is not OTT, classic, otome and general jfashion like legit larme kei and girly fashion isn't that popular? All I see is OTT sweet, very saturated pastel outfit, crappy e-girl style outfits and cosplay-ish Aliexpress kei fashion. The only good blogs and outfits I love are mostly from Japan, China or Korea, few aren't from East Asia that have good taste.
It's not a size thing because there are many options for plus size jfashion also from some Japanese brands.
>mfw I like OTT sweet and pastel but I'm a bit tired to see all the IG suggested profiles are from OTT sweet lolita wearers or western contaminated jfashion that is too tacky boring af.

I think also most of these IG popular profiles have shit taste for daily life outfits because it's not easy to wear these styles if someone wears all the time sweatpants or jeans with basic bitch graphic tees or sweats inside their home and outside instead of good quality japanese fashion or cute outfits in general.
The profiles I love usually wear jfashion as normal clothing not only for asspats and likes.

Where can I get an actual leather version of a heart bag? Or even a fabric heart bag that I can use daily for a long time, and not worry about peeling? I just want a cute lolita bag I can use every day that isn’t gonna peel.

Most of my lolita goes straight in the wash after one use, including my dresses. I haven't noticed any fading and I compare my dresses with their waist ties often to be sure. Maybe it might age the fabric, but I haven't noticed anything and at the end of the day lolita is just clothes and you're supposed to wash it. I would suggest washing in fabric bags though to avoid scratching or fraying.

The "kawaii" line is intended to be lolita, I think. The opening for kawaii had Misako design a dress and model for it, and there is a pannier (petticoat) that is a repeat re-release item in kawaii's shop. The pannier has rather low poof, though, it's more suitable for daily/casual.

As for the rest of Axes' lineup, they're only "girly" style and "loliable". If you own enough items, or if you manage to find an Axes Femme shop to compare in person, the kawaii lineup often has longer and wider skirts -- the difference isn't much, the kawaii line will have knee-length skirts and the other lines will have skirts that are just above the knees. It's still noticeable if you manage to compare a lot of them though.

Would these Demonias be decent in a gothic coord or just ita?

>> No.10598262

>>10598258
Personally I think that stompier boots like that have to really, really suit the coord in order to work. Lolita itself is so specifically feminine that I feel like those boots only really work when the coord is less lolita and more gothic, especially more Western gothic influenced, with harder metal and leather elements throughout.

I also think they tend to work better in EGA coords where the silhouette is longer and taller. I feel that tall boots tend to not balance out the skirt of a lolita coord very well.

That's just my aesthetic preference. I've seen them done well, but I've more often seen them done poorly, so I would look up a lot of gothic coord dumps and see if you can find specific coords where they work and find the common thread.

>> No.10599347

>>10599345
This is an incredibly broad and subjective question, anon. Is AATP 'bad quality'? No. Is it the best quality amongst major brands? Definitely not, but going into any more detail than that is going to depend wildly on the piece, the era it was released in, what you own to compare it to, etc.

>> No.10599349

>>10599347
Newfag so the best of what I own is some old meta and they feel really sturdy. But right in the beginning I made the mistake of overpaying for a lucky pack blouse and its very thin and flimsy. I've just heard baby is great and aatp is meh to bad for some reason despite being owned by the same people. Here's the dress https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/products/w-68199 its from 2016

>> No.10599378

>>10599349
Ayrt, my take on AATP as someone who owns quite a lot of it is that their older pieces from founding to early 2010's tend to have some of the same quality as Baby and are quite good, but when they started making a lot of the poly lacemonster and trendy chiffon/OTT classic stuff their quality took a hard dip. I believe their main print designer also quit around that time, it was quite noticeable.

That said their older dresses aren't without their own problems. Older prints had bad bleeding problems especially in reds and navies, and their bustier cut JSKs also had a tendency to wear out the venise corset lacing loops and the plastic boning which was not reinforced in their channels often wore through the fabric quickly.

Anyway, that dress is a nonprint cotton release so it should probably be fine, it isn't the type of dress I would be wary of.

I don't understand why Shibuya 109 is still 'typical gyaru fashion' when the majority of brands here cater for larme kei and girly jfashion both dark and non dark? I went there in 2019 and everything was like this. Maybe because some still think 109 is still some sorta of paradise for gyaru and they never went there actually. Maybe is this the neo gyaru and not what western people think about it?
