Doubtful, have they ever done a rerelease of a screen print dress? Screen printing is far more labor intensive than printed fabric. I could see them maybe making a print version of it, but that might look too much like the other recent Imai Kira mermaid print.
The dress is also notorious for fading and/or yellowing so I feel like if they did rerelease it, it would be a different design/materials.
You'll get a Puppet Circus rerelease before Twinkle Mermaid.

The price was probably something that put people off, especially since as you said, the most popular colorways weren't rereleased. The price was probably like that due to the fact it's made out of velveteen(?) and nowadays manufacturing costs are much higher

I definitely remember people being pissed about the exclusive colors not being released with it.

I know a lot of people are cheap assholes, but I kind of wish that Nakayoshi bunny was still velvet, or at least offered in both cotton AND velvet. I already put in my spot with my ss for it, but I would of still gotten it as velvet even with the price increase.

Nayrt but I still think AP should rerelease embroidered versions of velvet screenprints to keep the velvet without the issues of the print. If they made adjustments to Nakayoshi Bunny like making it cotton while keeping the applique, keeping a Puppet Circus or Twinkle ornament dress velvet but using embroidery rather than screenprint isn't out of the question anymore, even though it won't be a precise remake of the original.

100% Agree. I do not care how gorgeous a dress is, if it involves 1) flocking 2) foil 3) polyurethane leather 4) screen printing , I will not buy it. These four things often do not age well, even with good care, and so I'm 100% for embroidery over screen printing anything.

I had Classic Fairytales for a while (cut never worked for me; the bodice is very tube-like) and absolutely loved it. The fabric is amazing, beautiful texture and the details in the print make it so easy to match back to a lot of different themes. Definitely keep looking, anon, you'll fall in love with it!
(if I could have afforded to just keep it as an art piece, I would have.)
