Seamster here, It's not the sewing its the cut. She's tall, and it's clear that she elongated the bodice to account for that, but didn't scale out the rest of the pattern pieces which is why it looks off, even though the construction is actually decent by homemade standards (wonky waist notwithstanding).

I think it's a bit of a nitpick desu.

To be honest it feels like she needs to learn pattern drafting and draft for her own body if, like anon says, this is her nth dress and all the adjustments she's making still don't seem to be working out for her. A good basic sloper and figuring out a balanced skirt length once and for all would make a good base for a lot of future dresses rather than trying to modify patterns one by one.

And maybe learn to press seams. That waistline would look a lot less puffy if it was pressed properly, though it won't help with the wrinkling (that's on the ill fit, unfortunately)

I’m not larping or referring to weird age play kinksters. Look at the collage. The old school pic on the right looks much more like the two pictures on the top left than the pictures of adult women on the bottom left. I’m not saying we’re trying to look like little girls but our fashion is based more on the children’s styles of the time than adult styles. Obviously there are a lot of other fashion influences in lolita, such as novelty prints on skirts being something from the 50s, Dior’s New Look to some extent, and also prairie fashion and brands like gunne sax. But pretending that you haven’t seen people dress almost exactly like those pictures in the top two left is stupid. It’s only recently that longer styles have become more popular and cgl for the most part drags them. I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable to point out.

Anyway my point was just that that’s one of the main reasons why leg hair looks bad with this, it doesn’t go with the youthful aesthetic. Same reason why big busts look off in lolita and people tend to dislike those coords, it’s a weird, too mature and matronly vibe.
