If you ever do pick her up, some advice from someone that started to make her and then realised that they hate long and short stitch, working with embroidery materials that aren't DMC threads is a good idea, and will save you so much time.

Do it.Do such a beautiful job with the wig, accessories, and tailoring that you are the best Saturn. Cause it is all kinds of awesome when you show up to a group shoot looking immaculate despite not being a perfect body match.
People admire that shit and the high you will feel from it will encourage you to try more costumes you think don't suit you.

It's what a majority of cosplayers do for her decode outfit, imo it's never a bad idea to wear something that smooths out skin coloration differences. I also don't think it'll change much of the design to make the back and front pieces connect at the sides with a white part, like how the original birdy design has.

you could also connect them with side pieces that are a transparent version of whatever material the back/front pieces are so it "looks" like they're separate, but aren't

I cosplayed Ahiru for my first handmade costume and it was a really good experience even though my costume was shitty. I feel you on the gracefulness part. The wig was the least difficult part for me. The costume, specifically finding a tutu that wasn't too costumey but also not priced like a real ballerina's tutu was the hardest part. If you're ever up for a moderate challenge, I'd say it's definitely worth it to see the excited expressions of people recognizing what show you're from.

Rackam from Granblue Fantasy is a cool dude, I want to cosplay him. Unfortunately, I have literally no experience with cosplay beyond the crappy cardboard Bionicle costumes I made as a kid. I think Sango wouldn't have any problems being recognized. She's a prominent character is a hugely popular series -- especially with women -- that is getting a new anime right now. Her design has multiple recognizable features, too. Making and holding the gigantic weapon might be difficult for you, but it will also make you more visible to be recognized.

You don’t have to make a silicone suit. Most fat suits are comprised of stuffed cotton or spandex cushions that attach to the body. It’s fairly simple once you think of it as just making wearable pillows. The only thing you might have to worry about is facial prosthetics if you care a lot about that level of accuracy, but I think you’d be fine going without.

It's not an issue of body type, my body would actually be great for Bayonetta. But it's the fact that her costume is so insanely detailed and I would want to use real leather, real human hair, the works.
And due to how form-fitting her outfit is, I would have to use a soft, stretchy leather like kidskin, lambskin, or calfskin which means embossing would be a fucking nightmare, not to mention I would need a lot of skins to make the whole bodysuit and I might have to put seams in weird places like the middle of the legs

Also, I can't remember the name, but there's a famous tiktoker who is black, has a big fluffy beard, and cosplays characters like Froppy. He's pretty popular for it too. I wish I could cosplay as Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. I'd want to cosplay as one of these two [or three, as one is a maybe] versions:
- most of the variants of 1989 manga vol.1/1.5 Motoko (pic related, would be one of the versions i'd want to cosplay as the most)
- the 1995 film adaptation version of Motoko
- [maybe] the Stand Alone Complex (season 1) version of Motoko

The only issues are that
1. I'm a guy
2. I have really hairy legs (when I was in 9th grade, my dad compared my legs to that of the legs of a hobbit. "hobbit knees")
3. No idea how I'd change the sound of my voice to sound like a milf (not entirely necessary, but if its possible then id want to just because i could)
4. I have facial hair and small amounts of neck hair, and slightly bushier-than-average eyebrows

I could potentially make it work with my height, not sure if any of you would disagree. I'm 5'7" (170cm for the anons that use metric). I am not fat either, and my weight is somewhere between 122-130 lbs, so my physique isn't too bad. I have good hips, although I'd need to lose a bit of fat on my torso, thighs, and some of the fat around the area where my soleus muscle is located.

I also dont own anything to make the cosplay, nor do i have a wig for it :(

I'm a big fan of GITS and I've watched everything in the franchise, and read the original 3 volumes of the manga, so I'm well-acquainted with franchise. I find that to be an important factor as well.

I might be able to pull off something like the Motoko shown in attached pic, as it hardly shows any skin, which might eliminate the issue related to having lots of hair on my arms and legs.

I just have no idea how I could make my face look feminine enough, and my eyebrows are an issue as well. No idea where I'd get the cosplay either, and I have zero knowledge on how to make clothing and props. I might make a thread about my issue later
