We're staying with the Ibis across the road and they're only allowing bookings to be moved between now and the end of June. Actually, they've done four events thus far in Cardiff, London, Portsmouth and Leeds with London and Cardiff being two of their biggest of the year. That's extremely lucky all things considered.

Even if nothing else happens, it's probably enough to tide them over until 2021 even accounting for losses elsewhere.. And if AL can run August-October or even just October-November and scrap the rest then I'd imagine they'd still be doing pretty well.

Through luck or judgment they seem far better placed to deal with the new situation right now. It does seem that monthly mini events and 1-2 flagship events is possibly the way to go commercially. God, I have to begrudgingly give them some respect really, considering the smaller events are typically quite regional, so that's a lot of organising bookings, a lot of logistics. I know a lot of cons typically take a week to setup and another week to clean up.

Though in AL's case it's probably 2 days to setup and two weeks to clean up.
