Does anyone watch Moitie Diaries? Andrea does such a great job at modeling their products. I've found myself buying more from Moitie after seeing the items on stream. I really hope they'll restock the bat corset skirt!

Has anyone bought from AtePie recently? Do they offer courier shipping like WW does now? I can't find anything on it but I also might be dumb and missing something.

I watch them and love them, but I always miss out when she's doing them live. I'm new to insta so I'm probably dumb but when I checked moitie's story last night, it said the next vid was in 16 hours and then 2 hours later it was posted and I missed out...
Also I feel bad for her that people repeatedly ask the same dumb shit about Mana being there, she seems annoyed with having to repeat herself for the millionth time about something that should be common sense.

With all the shipping delays going on, I wish people would include what shipping method they used, and what country they live in/what country the package was sent from. I want context so we can use information like this to estimate when our own packages might arrive.

Since there's a few people in the ita thread talking about how dated all the lolita guides are, I was wondering what /cgl/ thinks a modern comprehensive guide for beginners should include. Not a video or mentorship group, but a static website or blog that lists everything a beginner should know in the year 2020. What would you want in a new guidebook?

I agree with all this and would like to additionally request no "sassy humour" tone. Some people feel the need to bust out condescending jokes when they're teaching something, and it's so offputting and cringy. A purely informative tone is best. Please save the joking tone for personal blogs.

I think many newbies don't go for full sets because they don't want to drop that kind of money on something they're not sure they will stick with. Even pre-owned sets are more expensive than mixing and matching. I know when I started I bought used lucky pack skirts because it was the cheapest entry point. Once I tried it and commited, then I started buying new pieces.

However, these would be worth doing because they're ever-changing:

Not an explanation of what a meetup is because that's been done, but guides on long-running events and news on upcoming ones would be useful, since there's always new ones popping up.

I've never used Tenso because it seemed like too much redirection. I'll probably wind up using an SS or even emailing Tokyo Alice to place an order (if they still accept that).

I think that sadly, it makes sense. There's probably too much liability. Within Japan packages almost never get lost or damaged but sending stuff overseas is a crapshoot. Stuff just disappears, probably stolen most of the time, or some asshole throws it on your roof, in the mud, or your neighbor's manure pile often enough for it to get expensive for the seller to keep funding refunds for shit that never arrived or arrived horrible damaged because overseas delivery services are staffed by malicious swamp donkeys with room level IQ.

We get tales here often enough were the person supposed to deliver a tracked package says they did while the gull was watching her porch like a hawk for days in a row and the shitstain never showed up or blatantly did a drive by, and then sends the package back to were it came from, or just plain into the void, never to be seen again.

it's really not though, if a newbie showed up in garbage quality cat ears no one would say it looks fine. it has to be brand. so it's a good rule to have until they understand that.

>> No.10394442

>>10394439
But again, this is a problem of the west being obsessed with rules instead of assessing whether or not something looks good in an individual outfit. That newbie should be taught that their particular cat ears are garbage because of x, y and z.

I see a lot of people (even on /cgl/) who seem to think that their outfits look good by default because they're following the rules, and nothing can be ita as long as it's following the rules. It's rigid and unhelpful. You should be looking at the outfit as a whole and honestly assessing whether it works, not ticking boxes and assuming it guarantees a good outfit.

I want the daydream badly too, anon.

>>10393607
I keep wondering why AP made the midnight and daydream colors for Dream Marine worldwide but not Misty Sky? I've had a discussion with a few people over this. There's some speculation that AP only wanted them to be exclusive to the Shanghai TP, but if that were true then why did Japan get a re-release of the midnight? There are so many WTBs on taobao for the daydream Misty Sky, so it's not like the demand isn't there. AP would make so much more money on the TP exclusive colors if they stopped wasting their breath on the other colorways. There's clearly a demand, and definitely not enough supply. Idk how AP aren't seeing it, especially with that scalper on fril wanting 189,500 yen for the daydream. The market is already over saturated with unwanted Misty Skies and Dream Marines in brilliant color, so who keeps thinking these re-releases are good ideas?

AP San Francisco: Trash, shares a store with a bunch of other brands, over priced, a bit rude, and clearly the unloved stepchild of Angelic Pretty.

Angelic Pretty Tokyo (Harajuku): It's the head shop, but far and away the rudest one I've been to. Literally, have had to repeatedly ask them to include the promos (I'm a foreigner) and they don't even have the best selection.

Angelic Pretty Yokohama: 10/10, since they are off the radar, they tend to have stuff in stock that other stores sell out of. Staff is nice too!

Angelic Pretty Shinjuku: My favorite store, and not just because the commute is easy. They have tons of little secret restocking, so I get a lot of stuff I miss out on. The storekeeper is nice, and it's located in a mall with BTTSB, AATP, IW, an MMM seller, Atelier P., Amavel, this incredibly cute and reasonably priced lolita shoe seller, and Meta. Plus they do tax-free for foreigners! If you go to Tokyo, go to this store!

Angelic Pretty Shibuya: The shiny new love-child. Gets a lot of stuff the other stores don't. Has many exclusive releases but runs out of stuff very quickly, and is truly hell to get to because the mall is always packed. Shares a mall with Konami store, Shonen Jump store, Pokemon center and Nintendo store, so if you're a weeb this is probably the shop for you. Very touristy area though, so prepare to be within a 100 foot radius of 500 people at all times.

>> No.10394693

>>10394690
Angelic Pretty Paris: Probably the most attractive of all the stores, but like all of the abroad stores, there is a serious markup. This isn't helped by the fact that the euro exchange rate is high but if you buy it in Japan, it's literally 20-30% cheaper after tax-free. Their website actually works though, and they get things we don't get so it's cheaper than a scalper! Also AP low-key loves its Paris store, so they get quite a lot of exclusive items and promos.

I think anon is saying that those past order links on the items don't work.

My orders are the same way. There's some items that are less than a month old and I can't get to the original listing to view the item condition, etc. It seems random. Some items I ordered that are 3+ months old still have the listing page active. I've messed with the urls and sometimes I can find the old, large images of the items, but I can't get back to the listing page.

Them wristcuffs tho...the last Lyrical bunny wristcuffs release was phone reservation only. I hope the U.S. gets some of the jewelry and these...

I'd be down too, I'd love to see the red or navy get a rerelease. We can hope!
