For 3D modeling armor and importing to Pepakura/Armorsmith, Solidworks or Fusion 360?

neither board is really ideal for the question imo, it's kind of specific and the forums for pepakura and armorsmith would probably be more useful. i don't see these softwares discussed much here,

Oh I can actually help with this one.
If you are just starting out then start with fusion 360. It's free, has a really easy to use interface and can help you build shapes from simple to complicated.
If you have experience with 3d modeling g programs and really want to go hard with detail solidworks is a solid step up. A good bit more of a learning curve than 360, but offers quite a few more tools. It's mostly for engineering so there's a ton of it you wont end up using though.
I use fusion 360 for practically all my 3d printing.

360 offers several export file types. Pretty sure armorsmith works with stl and obj files.
