Ok, I get this fashion attracts immature tumblr types, but can whoever always ruins threads with low quality image spams stop? This happened in the last thread when someone got offended anons pointed that lolicon drawings were popping up with the term jojifuku and then got mad when they mistakenly thought people meant the fancy pocket pictures and not the ones of girls with visible panties. Dolls Kill bought her out and renamed the brand, scrubbed the internet of all the old information. Current Mood i think is what used to be Shop24Hours, which was part of Lip Service before they folded under completely.

This was written before DollsKill bought the Delia*s name to recreate that clothing line too.

They may be a shitty company, but they aren't a small company. They aren't just buying off taobao, atleast not for most of their stuff. If something on the site is listed with a brand name that you can click on, it's either one of their in house brands, or something they're wholesaling from a different retailer.

If it isn't listed with any kind of brand, then that is something they're just reselling from a generic wholesaler brand.

Back from what I remember, the type of pastel decora variation like pic related was considered fairy kei instead of decora at the time. Is that still the case? Or is it more a blend like "fairy kei-style decora" rather than just pure fairy kei?
Also, I remember back then some people believed that an outfit could only be fairy kei if it had some type of '80s or '90s nostalgia. Does that still hold true?

Definitions and classicifactions get really confusing over time. Fairy kei originally was meant to be spank! Style aka the style of the brand spank! Which is 80s inspo lots of pastels but also occasionally bold color combos. It then became a separate thing when fairy kei took on the iconic cutsew+tutu look that could be made from a variety of big Harajuku brands (pastel is big, OTT sweet everywhere, decora recently gone but not forgotten), which is more or less the definition that’s stayed.
Fancy is similar to yumekawaii, not exactly 80s but whimsical. It’s a feeling of old shoujo manga but in clothes, like poofy/ethereal which is why it’s called fancy. So fairy kei can also be fancy style depending on the “mood” it has. Like you said, most times I see it used it’s like an adjective
