yes. the only problem is getting your stuff onboard. air freight is in high demand because container ships are either at a standstill or empty to the point where stuff sits waiting for enough to be brought together for a container ship to be even worth moving. the big boys with money to burn are the ones getting their stuff on the planes. there's also problems getting trucks to/from the docks because of the lockdowns.

if china doesn't restart soon shit's going to be delayed worldwide due to just how interconnected everyone is with china nowadays. even if your stuff is domestically made somewhere down the line is a link with china be it a precursor ingredient or a part. ink, labels, buttons, whatever. a lot of places use china to make some of the small things. lol @ my company using made in USA flag labels that were made in China

Bits of my order from before CNY is what hasn't arrived. Considering cancelling them, if they haven't shipped by now I think they're in trouble or somehow not able to ship them. Odd thing is no one's messaged me on aliwangwang to say if they're shipping or not shipping.

Everything I've ordered after CNY has shipped, but lately what I've been doing is checking the shop feedback to see if anyone gave feedback after Feb10th, I take that to mean they're back to shipping things.

Tmall seems to be having a March 5th event tonight, so if a shop has the 38 banner they're probably also up and running.

I know that someone here once said that they've seen them on TB and I feel incredibly stupid for not asking for links at the time. Why would you even want that? Most of the contamination is from touching into eating.
Or dropleets into the eyes.
Mask is going to do jack shit.

Masks are also about as effective as wearing a scarf, since droplets are not micro dust.

You would be better of buying a bottle of talic/talcum powder and some one time vinyl gloves, and wear a scarf over mouth + ski googles.
Or just washing your hands before eating, and stop touching your face.

>> No.10352635

>stop spreading misinformation
?
Look, this is very simple. You don't want a dust filter alone, you need to pair it with eye protection.
And even if you do, you can still get sick from not washing hands before eating, since hands can pick up the contamination but can't get properly infected.

> the only think you're right about is that respirators don't help unless they are medical
That is also wrong. A dust filter is generally
1. Not airtight, since the seal and filters are not properly done
2. Depending on material, its not moisture proof. If its not, a drop can land on the mask alongside sweat/water, penetrate mask, and get inside
Dusts masks exists because grinding up plaster walls for a living is a complete piece of shit, and you won't stop coughing for days if you are not wearing a mask.

But the real problem with filter masks is that they are sorted into degrees of usefulness.
FFP3 should be okay, but its still a temporary mask with limited lifetime of its filter. FFP1 and FFP2 is something you should never be willing to wear for on site work, because of how big the gap to FFP3 is.
And all 3 of these masks will still allow you to get poisoned by various toxic vapors, because the filter isn't of high enough quality for chemical work.

From what I can glean from Google Translate and review pictures, they send you the uncut pieces traced onto foam, and some listings also provide the paint as well. I've never made a prop before, so I'm thinking I might order a kit for a character I want to cosplay and do a review of what I get and how things turn out. thanks! hopefully we'll be able to do anything with the whole virus thing happening...i'll probably post a pic or two on here for reviews. i've just recently started doing guzheng covers! i'm trying to branch out with my covers since a lot of people just do chinese pop music. also, as far as being SE asian goes, i don't think it's a big deal unless you live in SEA in a country with bad blood against china. hanfu enthusiasts are generally praised no matter what race they are (and it's not like white people will be able to tell or care if asians "appropriate or whatever"). pic related is westerners in china participating in a hanfu appreciation event. even many of the pro-han chinese groups are happy about foreigners wearing it.
you can buy the forehead decorations as stamps actually! i just don't because hanfu sellers will generally send some. 花钿眉心贴 will get you a lot. hanbok store i linked advertises real korean fabrics, and looked the best, but it is pricey!

Please do, I would love to see it! I'd love to check your videos too if you don't mind. I prefer Chinese ballads to pop desu.

And I had no idea Chinese people would be happy with foreigners wearing it - one of my concerns would be that I was judged for it. Is there anywhere specific I can read up on this?

Thanks so much! I didn't actually know that, that's super helpful!

Honestly as long as it's constructed well that price is about what I expect for authentic hanbok, it's just not something I can add to my cart on a whim! Probably if I plan a trip SK or something.

That shop has so many cool hairpieces - those rabbit ears! I'm so itching to make a big order right now even though I've got so many expenses this year and saving up for Japan. Gosh darn it taobao!

https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=606064292819

i'll see if i can find the article that pic is from, but on a lot of forums are positive. people basically say they feel that foreigners liking chinese culture and wearing hanfu is good. many feel it helps to keep interest and educate people about it. the only negative things i've seen are women who don't want men to wear hanfu to try to get girls! many chinese people feel that foreigners wearing it gives it a different look too that is beautiful in it's own way. i also remember yumi king's (ex?)husband wearing it with her when they visited china. this chinese article gives a pretty positive take on the general reception of hanfu. but i'm sure you can find some in english, it's mostly just asian americans who hold issue with this stuff but those types of asian americans generally are the ones fetishizing their own cultures and bragging/being weird about having foreign parents. i don't know if you're from/living in the USA, but if you are i hope you get what i mean.

Hello gulls I need your help! I'm searching for a Lolita wig brand, the only things I can remember about them is that they attended an AP tea party about 2~ years ago, and that they had a website separate from Taobao(they had Taobao too).

Also another one, that had a similar style(dreamholic-y), that iirc had "man" somewhere in the name? Their wigs were very cheap, about 15usd

None of them are in the spreadsheed

The delay won't be on China's end. I've watched some of my parcels actually go through quarantine and at most it's been delayed a couple of days. Which is no different from the seller taking a few days to ship out, or your service agent taking a few days to pack and ship it out.

You'd want to be careful with your country's postal system though, someone started a rumour that some places are rejecting parcels from China, never found out if that was true or not (I've gotten all my parcels but maybe I'm living... wherever that is).

Setting up a PC like that would be very poor value wise. Although it can be done. Despite how rare uwu parts are, there is actually quite a number of ways to set a machine up. Although personally I recommend you go with a smol case from taobao instead.

Wdean Dora's R2S is tiny, and has a pikachu variant. Currently on pre-order, first batch expected to ship out mid April if you get in in time. You can probably contact the store via an agent to see if they'll be willing to do a custom pink version as well.

>> No.10371726

>>10371003

Issue won't be on China's end. They've been quarantining, disinfecting packages and workers since February when their shit was hit the hardest. There's only a couple of days delay with their internal delivery now. Virus only lives a couple of days on cardboard so even the time the parcel spends in the warehouse or waiting for a plane would be enough for it to die off.

International mail is the part that's fucked up now. Packages are taking longer to get on a flight, and delivery for some places that are in quarantine have become slower. You probably want to check your own country's conditions rather than China's, and don't order anything you need in a huge hurry (not hard not that almost everything is canceled lol).

>> No.10372256

DHL is a private courier, and from what I've heard about them, FedEx, and UPS, they're trying to keep on trucking. And they may have different flight system from EMS that wouldn't be subject to the same delays. For what it's worth I would usually never recommend DHL for shipping to Canada. DHL has charged me fees up the ass 100% of the time. One time the delivery guy explained to me that the reason the fees are so high is because there is an extra fee when you order clothing because it's like a luxury item or something. In comparison, with EMS I've sometimes skated by without having to pay a fee.

On the positive side though, DHL is usually very fast and reliable, so your package shouldn't get lost even with corona on the loose. Just be prepared for the possibility of paying a huge fee.

Thanks! Do you think it's appropriate to email them asking if they'd ever do a specific rerelease? I missed out on the butterfly op when it came out and regretted it since.

I think it would be fine, if anything in their place I'd find it flattering that more people want my design

Spreadsheet anon again! Here's the link to the updated sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EKZhOppV8_FMyFg9BCYhPbaELtFc9XV2aNEqzctw108/edit?usp=sharing

I haven't finished sorting through deadlinks and such (i'm currently on the general jfashion section) but the first 6 sheets are up to date. Feel free to add stores to the suggestion section. I will start adding them to the spreadsheet once I finish removing the dead links from each section.

Thank you anon! I tried to go through the suggestions and find the store names that were missing, hope that makes sorting through them a bit easier for you

Is buying fabric on taobao worth it? Western online fabric shops have shit prices, so im hoping they're more worth it.

Do any Taobao stores offer pastel china kei dresses or shirts? I've been looking for a pink/lavender one and so far I haven't had any luck, I'm getting desperate

I’ve bought some faux fur and pleather last time and the quality was pretty good and the price was even better.

Just be veryyyy careful on reading the descriptions and make sure there’s at least a few review pictures in the comments section before you order it.

I bought silk/rayon brocade on Taobao and it was great quality for the price. It can be worth it but like >>10377156 said, use common sense.
