Choose one

> living in capital city, well established comm, lots of cons
> higher living cost, less of spare money, smaller wardrobe or mostly taobao

or

> living in small town with no local cons, little to no amusement places to wear lolita to
> lower living cost, lots of brand

Smaller town, less assholes to deal with and I wear lolita daily so i don’t need to find excuses to wear it. I live in a big city now and it sucks ass.

I'd much prefer to live in the small town.

I choose B. I don’t like cheap lolita things. I wear the fashion for myself. I like my burando and I can travel to go to certain events and meets when I want to.

I prefer city life so I pick that but fuck cons. I hate that lolita events are always mashed in awkwardly. Cons are filled with children and run by pedos and you have to navigate every else's incompetence to try and have a nice lolita panel or event. And the air conditioning never works enough.

I'm a lone lolita that lives in a large city area with a somewhat active community that I don't really interact with. So the small town sounds like heaven.

B, as long as there nice parks and forests to hang out in, it's cool. You can always make a trip to the city if you must.

I don't myself cosplay, but I've made a decision to one day move to a big city, and being able to attend lots of events is one of the key factors in that.

Cons are stinky.
Live in a small town, wear lolita often. Wardobe growing.
Visit medium size city to attend a few lolita meets a year.
That’s the best way.

If only Lolita mattered, I would choose the small town. I hate cons and love brand.

But I have experience with both, and living in a small town is not that cheap for me because I have to take days off to go to the city to go to the hospital, bank, classes, do sports etc. And transport is expensive too. Some of that can be done after work in the evening, but none of it is possible in my village. Also in my area it's more difficult to find a house in villages because they haven't built any houses here for a long time.

>City>small town
I'd choose to live in a capital city. My wardrobe is already small, but cohesive. I'd like to enjoy more experiences in lolita. A capital city would have better restaurants, museums, theaters, concerts, gardens, and potentially brand stores. I don't care about comms or cons. I don't care about having the biggest wardrobe. And generally speaking, city folk don't care that much about lolita.

I guess I feel that way because I left a small town for a big city, and I ended up finding housing cheaper than my small town with a big enough closet. It's still small, but I'm a 20 minute bus ride from a bunch of brand stores and it's great.

>> No.10324605

I went from B to A and it sucks, take me back to B.

It really depends on the city though. I probably wouldn’t mind A if the city didn’t suck like the one I live in now.

This. Plus people in smaller towns may have some consistent walking routines so they might remember "that weird lady in puffy clothes" who appears aroung the block at times. It's easy to become a local lunatic.

>> No.10324782

>>10324757
You’re the narcissist, or maybe retarded, if you think that a thread that opens with a kamikaze girl pic, talks about lolita, lolita wardrobes, and mentions taobao and brand, is somehow not about lolita. There is not a single mention of cosplay, you must be a huge narcissist to think conventions = cosplay and ignore the fact that lolitas go to conventions.

>> No.10324783

>Live in a capital city
>Somewhat active comm, but lonelita by choice
>Don’t give shit about cons
>lots of disposable income, buy all the burando

It can easily be done. I’m a Eurofag and I live in a small apartment, but it’s enough for me. I enjoy the convenience of a big city (read: museums, castles, parks etc.) and can still buy brand.

>> No.10324816

>>10324228
I'm already massively autistic so I avoid talking to people unless it's absolutely necessary. I always wanted to live in a small town in my state and I don't go out much so I would be okay with wearing lolita around the house, at work, or running errands. And all the cons I go to aren't local so that's fine by me. I choose to have all the brand.

>> No.10324835

>>10324228
Honestly I already live the second option, but lower housing costs & living costs means more money to spend on travelling to go to fun events.

>> No.10324838

I make a enough money to pay expensive rent and cost of living, get all my brand, and still have enough leftover to save for retirement, so the first option all the way.

Having tried both, they are both terrible. The best option is in a medium-sized town about 30 minutes away from the big city with the big comm. Calmer for living, much better air quality, more likely to be pretty and closer to nature, still good access to city fun.

Hahaha, this is the dumbest advice. Tech jobs are going to H1B visa holders these days because they're cheaper. American-born tech workers have a hell of a time finding a good job and sometimes even are forced to train their cheaper foreign replacements.

City folk may not care as much about lolita but tourists go nuts over it and all the larger cities in my country are full of annoying tourists, some of whom will literally grab me and pose with me like I'm some kind of mascot character.

>>10332206
This 100%. It only takes me €2 and 30 minutes to get to the city centre and I don't waste the vast bulk of my income to live in some broom closet above a snackbar. Better parks too, and the nice architecture is still mostly intact and hasn't all been gutted to put in Starbucks or big chain fast fashion stores.

I side-eye all city people who romanticize living on the countryside.

I live in a small town and it's the worst.
Everybody here knows everything about everybody. I never wore lolita openly and yet just the fact that I don't live exactly like all other youths here makes my parents nag me and my parents' friends probably bash me. And I love my parents so I don't want them to feel ashamed of me. It's as if there's only one correct way of living: start dating some boy who also lives in our tiny town when you're like 16, attend the same clubs and events as everybody else (e.g. traditional shit), do the job your parents more or less choose for you, build a house, marry and stay here til you die. If you don't have a car, you're fucked. I need to drive half an hour minimum just to get normie clothes. There's just zero choice here, not when it comes to clothes, styling, hobbies or also friends and partners. God forbid I have other interests. My parents are already planning where I'm gonna live once I move out. It feels like I'm suffocating.
In summer the nature might look nice but that's it and in winter it's just extremely depressing.

Not to devalue your experience, but this does not at all match my experience growing up in rural Quebec. I miss how beautiful and peaceful it was. It helps that it was a super hippieish town and nobody really gave a fuck what you did.

Just because you lived in a dirthole and hated it doesnt mean everyone else shares your experiences. Same way someone can love living in busy cities for the same reason someone else hates living in cities.

But I do get what youre saying. There's such thing as inbetween suburb and rural. So, you have a near rural feel without being in bumfuck nowhere.

Yeah no. I have a tech job with a clearance in the DC area. An H1B CANNOT get those kind of jobs and they're are plenty of tech positions in the DC area that need filling from help desk to solutions architect.

Just have a clean record and you can easily get a security clearance which will open many doors for you in the tech sector.
