Need some help! I want to make Adam's mask out of foam. I was wondering what kind of head cast should I be using if Im going to use a heat gun?

It's not very close to the face so a styrofoam wig head should work fine, they're a few dollars on amazon

Styrofoam wig heads are way smaller than actual heads. Molding a mask on one would make it too small.

Guys, no, you don't *need* to cast your face. Just goto Michaels or a craft store that sells blank masks, find which one fits you the best and build off that... better to buy $2 mask than use a bunch of extra material and a styrofoam head that will probably not match yours...

Anon makes a good point. To get one closer to you size have a friend help you wrap plastic wrap around your head & face, then paper mache. Once the paper mache dries they cut you out and you have one in the perfect size. Hope that helps ;)

I made a head cast with alginate and plaster and honestly it's not worth it unless you need to sculpt prosthetics or the like
