Dude, I understand how this is triggering but this was very obviously a Halloween coord.

She's probably making it the focal point to show how her coord qualifies as something for Halloween.

So, confession/story time: I have hair-loss due to chemotherapy treatments. It makes anchoring anything to my head/wig really difficult for lolita (or in general as per most of my fellow big-C friends). I had the fun experience of having my wig start FALLING OFF MY HEAD because of how heavy my hat was last meetup and I was low-key traumatized by this happening in public while dressed to the nines.

I kinda couldn’t handle that this meet. And my friend wanted to twin because we bought this dress together. So, I went full folksy and used clip-in bangs with a giant Russian fringe shawl instead of a wig. Nothing shifted or hurt my scalp and I had a much better time enjoying myself instead of worrying about my wig staying on my skull.

Gentle feedback is welcome. I do know my boobs are huge for this dress; maybe I should have worn a binder? Anyways, good people, good food, lots of love for my Great Lakes Lolita family.

Probably because of the print. Although I do wonder if she thinks choosing a high-collar blouse (looks like a mandarin collar maybe?) with florals and chiffon sleeves (similar to fairy dresses in xianxia shows maybe?) is an attempt to do the qilolita look.

idk, the fabric looks kinda meh in the stock photos itself and that cof pic above aren't much better. Topped off with a neckline that really only does well with one or two blouse styles.

Maybe not complete trash but it's certain not something I'd choose for a first outfit. Then again, I wouldn't do qi or waloli for first outfit ever, most of them involve unusual cuts or motifs that are hard to reuse. Better to go down the safer route of typical dress with common motifs that you can use and reuse without worrying that a different blouse wouldn't suit its cultural style or whatever.

I have been fighting depression as of late, so I decided to try to change it up a bit by going to someplace new.

Goth-y coord for Conzilla, a small local con in my hometown of Columbus, Georgia. I can honestly say I was the best-dressed Lolita there because I was the ONLY Lolita there! After coveting Silent Moon for years I took advantage of the AWA special preorder and planned this coord without actually having the dress in my possession until two days before! I had my fingers crossed that the blues would match the new brighter print. I did a simple, toned down Horror Garden coord for a friend's party today. I was aiming for a cozy, wintery version of my usual spooky style. I wasn't sure about my hair with the red of the dress at first, but I kind of like it in hindsight as its giving me a subtle Christmas feel.

I had a pair of artist tights that kept shifting for some reason. Must have fixed it 3-5 times that one single day that I wore them (never wore them again, obviously, who has time to keep straightening their tights?
