Discuss Honey Cake, post coords, or even ideas. If you don't like Honey Cake, stop coming and screaming it's fugly or how the fabric doesn't suit your liking. no one fucking cares.
why did you post a new thread when the old one JUST saged??anyways>>10186208skirt anon there's one on merc
previous thread >>10186189
There's a honey cake cutsew on Lace Market though it can be searched and found under Angelic Pretty > Cutsew, not by searching the term "honey cake"
Meanwhile, also on LM...
Idk if I should feel bad for girls having first release at this point. Original HC seems more valuable due to material, but the print itself is not that rare anymore, so I understand why people may be upset with rerelease. Probably AP did the right thing releasing Brilliant Misty Sky in new colors. Quite upsetting for those looking for original colors, but those who bought the original release didn’t lose the money.
>>10189694This sounds like a fun conversation starter! Let’s say if AP decided to switch it up and launch HC in a different colorway, what color would you have liked to see?I think either sax or vibrant blue would have been nice.
>>10189704I think red could be really cute. Or brown/beige with gold accents
>>10189704Actually my point was about ethics behind rereleases. Everyone knows that significant part of brand piece price is its rarity. People have legit reason to be salty about CTP rerelease, because you can never tell releases apart by outer look, so they spent extra money for nothing.
>>10189713Ethics? AP is not in the business of creating investment pieces that are supposed to earn the owners money by being rare. It's better for AP to keep rereleasing pieces that go for insane amounts second hand so the money is going to the brand, not to scalpers. If someone bought CTP for $2k prior to the MTO that was their own choice, why feel bad for someone who has that kind of money to drop on a rare dress?
>>10189713Don’t get me wrong, I went for both CTP and HC rereleases, but idk isn’t it a privilege to be able to grab it brand new for retail price?
>>10189707Red would be adorable! I'd also love a dark green version.
>>10189694it’ll likely be easier to tell which one is the first or second release unlike CTPsomeone can easily post that it’s the first release then some sap buys it for 4k and gets fucked over
>>10189704 >>10189707 >>10189718Sax,vibrant blue, red, brown/beige with gold accents, dark green... I love all of these ideas; Honey Cake definitely doesn't need to be in pink.In terms of blue though, what do you guys thing of this range of blue shades collectively referred to as "cornflower blue" ?
>>10189707Id be really excited for a red release.A light peach would be cute
>>10189762The lightest shade there is lovely and I think it would work very well for Honey Cake. I wish there were more of that blue rather than sax in lolita anyway
Sorry for the sloppy shoops but, I'm just gonna throw this out there that I would kill for HC in the bottom colorway. I like the others too but I LOVE sax.
>>10189764A peach, for your consideration anon.
Also here's a lavender no one asked for, which I think might actually be really cute if it had white accents.
>>10189776>>10189774>>10189775It looks fucking terrible. Thank god none of you work for AP
>>10189774Top right and bottom look very cute!Top left is ugly>>10189775Ew.>>10189776It could be cute, but it isn't working.
>>10189777LOL to each their own anonHonestly I think a few of them would be ok with some minor alterations to the print itself + the accenting details, but I think AP already won the game with the yellow and ivory colorways the way they are. And the darker blue colorway might actually look super good (a la French Cafe) if I put more time into making the shoop look nice, gomen for my laziness
Id so wear this desu
>>10189784that's good shit buddycan you do a dark blue one too? I killed my file already
>>10189785I got u
>>10189786bless uI just keep thinking about how, if they pulled more colors from the print all the way up the dress that the red and blue would be really, really greatnot anything as busy as french cafe persay, but if the silhouettes on the print were white and it had more white and red details elsewhere around the waist bow and switching area....yesss
>>10189787Fuck anon I love french cafe so damn much thanks for reminding me I still don't have itAnd you're right that would look fuckin dopeHere's a colourway no one asked for, I call it "I can't believe it's not bittersweet"
>>10189788omfg can you imagine this with the print being in pastels instead of primary colors, and the aforementioned details added tooI feel like I have sinned just thinking about it
>>10189784Fuck yeah I would buy this if AP ever released it in this colourway. I'm a redfag tho
>>10189789my hand slipped (too lazy to add the details)
>>10189791you monsterdesu I love that this doesn't have sax or mint, coording it with lavender pink and yellow items would be super fun
>>10189784God red looks so nice.
>>10189784This is the only one you’ve done that doesn’t look like a dumpster fire
>>10189798one anon's dumpster fire is another anon's dream dress, that's life man
>>10189774Bottom sax is really cute. I wonder if AP thinks it's too close to mint.
>>10189801I wonder too. I mean to me the mint makes no sense because it's not represented well in the rest of the print, but a sax or another light blue to complement the milk cartons and dishes and stuff seems so intuitive to me and I don't know why they haven't done it.>inb4 a special set drops and I buy ANOTHER honey cake
>>10189798Thanks, it's my favourite one too. Now I'm sad it's never gonna happen
>>10189788Brown with more diffuse versions of the print colors pls
>>10189791This makes it look like every other pastel vomit dress AP's released. To each their own though I guess.
>>10189784red blouses or cardigans are worn often with HC, what would you guys do for a red one like this? It looks really cute.
>>10189694I'm sort of glad I have one of the colorways that didn't get re-released (yet, who knows). The original fabric and sizing, along with another colorway will probably ensure it retains value so long as it doesn't get re-released.As for colorways:>>10189774Sax: I like the shade of sax on the top right, but maybe slightly more subdued like on the bottom.>>10189776Lav: I really like lavender and red together, but I feel like the sax sort of throws it off. Yellow and purple are opposites and normally clash but there's some other prints that do this well. I feel like for this to look good, the rest of the print itself needs to be adjusted.>>10189784>>10189786Red or Navy: This would be really cute, especially if the designs on the top part of the print were white. I'm not sure how I feel about black.Brown is something I've been thinking about. i might shoop it.
>>10189817Holy shit, imagine this but the lil shadowy silhouettes of the print parts on the skirt are gold kinda like the card symbols on Wonder Party
>>10189819Warm browns and yellows from the pancakes/honey or cream perhaps?
>>10189819I think a similiar shade of blue to the milk cartons would be adorable! And lots of blue/white polkadots
HC Skirt in Ivory was listedhttps://item.mercari.com/jp/m79439722647/?_s=U2FsdGVkX18dNDl2R3iVU2UhXPTE1kiGT-9zkRDriXOGTr3Ap1OssBpxoXcRtFVHWM_FbiM4LnESvF1G5ft0Ij5iGDo408AaQooRi9_I7rnJfAiFOEGd47QH_UawbWzh
for those who reserved, what are you going to do without the original otks? im still stuck on what to get desu
>>10189824I just shooped this on the round version. I'm too lazy to go over the the designs on the upper part of the print to make them lighter. But brown is probably the best. I'd buy it in every cut.
>>10189829honestly, I have the original OTKs for my original release and I only have them for set completion purposes. I never wear them with it. I normally wear AP's candy fun fair otks in red, or some of my various chocolate or brown otks and ankle socks.
I’m trying to understand the sizing...up to ~127 bust but the bodice doesn’t have straps and can’t be adjusted lengthwise?? Is this some trap to have fatty-chans buy a dress that won’t look good on them? Not trying to hate on bigger girls who are buying it I have big cow titties too, but know I’ll look ridiculous with that bodice type.
>>10189784Omg someone please make a mockup pic of a coord with this
>>10189828Thanks for telling us something we already new dumbass
>>10189832Straps are adjustable. The Paris site even mentions it. The original release had the type with two buttonholes on the strap and the buttons are on the body-facing portion of the shirring panel. IDK if they will put an additional buttonhole, but it's probably not quite as necessary. With cow-tits myself, this hit closer to my natural waist than most releases anyway.
>>10189694I sold off my first release HC not too long ago because of the material. It’s just too hot to wear where I live unless it’s in the middle of winter but even that’s iffy at times. I’m really happy the MTO is a fabric I can wear whenever I want.
>>10189829Honestly I was sold by the artist in the last couple threads and I'll probably try to get hers. Otherwise, I don't really like striped socks to begin with
>>10189819No cardigan, just a bright white chiffon blouse or cutsew
>>10189830I really want this, it's so cute
>>10189837I wished they had more pictures. I still can’t picture how a bodice that style is adjustable. But I could just be stupid
>>10189849My good bitch do you really need to be spoonfed that much? It's a RErelease of an existing cut, there's pics of it on lolibrary.
>>10189849Here you go anon.
>>10189849It’s definitely a case of you just being stupid
>>10189853That is one discoloured dress if I've ever seen one. RIP
>>10189853I want to believe this is just poor lighting, but if not, please wash your clothes anon.
>>10189853Jesus Christ you filthy fuck
>>10189859The lighting in my room is dim, with a yellowish lamp in the opposite corner. It's overcast today. Sorry I didn't take the photo on a dress form with a photo studio just for your viewing pleasure.
>>10189853>>10189859>>10189861Is that not just lighting...? Am I blind, what should I be seeing
>>10189866The yellowing looks like discoloration at first glance desu, but now that I'm really looking at it it's pretty obvious it's just lighting.
>>10189774Original anon here! I love the fact that you made digital mockups and I’m so happy to see how far this conversation has blossomed!! I personally like the top right as well, but >>10189784 is also quite gorgeous. Thank you guys for taking the time to make these
>>10189875>Tfw a bunch of strangers liking my shit, 2-minute edits of a dress on an anonymous image board is the most human validation I've gotten in a whileLife's good thanks
>>10189877You’re a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you for doing these mockups, they were really fun to look at.
>>10189775this is such a Meta colourway and I'm here for it!I'm personally so excited to have a fun print that goes up past 110cm bust AND has adjustable straps. original nor special set HC would have ever worked for my big&tall hourglass ass.I'm happy that I can have a full set too that can accomodate me through my whole life, regardless of fluctuations. I miss older fully shirred cuts with good prints but this is just as nice
>>10189877You’re wonderful, and I thank you for your efforts!
>>10189842I wonder how that anon is doing with their recent edits? The last one lacked luster for me but I’m still keen on investing in them in the long run. It’s like they’re circling around the right look but just needs to fine tune to get it there.
>>10189853Anon, may I ask you to take a picture of the side seam on the inside of bodice? I’m just curious if there’s a way to tighten the rubber bands by my own.
>>10189889Yeah. They are fully sealed up, but you can generally flip it all the way inside out and get to the area where the lining on the bodice meets the lining of the shirring. On mine, the elastic is poking out a little. But you could easillly take a seam ripper to this area pull the shirring further or just hand stitch it smaller and then sew it back up with a machine or by hand.I'm not sure how delicate this fabric will be, but it would be an easy fix for cotton since I'd be worried less about snagging, ripping or pulling.
>>10189900Thanks you!! That really looks like not a big deal to fix. Although I looked up the MCD jsk coords and those look pretty fine on smaller girls, so idk probably I won’t bother doing alterations at all.
>>10189918Yeah, pulling in the shirring isn't a big deal, and it's probably possible to do this in a way where you can retain some of the elastic in case you want to keep some of the resale value. But then again, I'm sure some smaller people would prefer a jsk that's had a modification to make it work in their favor.
>>10189830Would be better if the horizontal line art was golden.
>>10189704i wish they could have made a version in black, i miss all their old prints where there was a black color way with sweet prints still in pastels
>>10189837>>10189849I'm 170cm tall with original round cut. On the second button hole on the straps, it almost hits my natural waist. With strap extenders to give 2 or more cm, it hits my waist.
>>10189791>>10189953i replied without going thru the whole thread but this is exactly what i want and would love
I'm on the fence about preordering. The cut isn't ideal but I'm afraid I'll regret passing on it once the MTO is closed. Do you guys think it'll be really hard/expensive to get after release or that a lot of girls will be selling theirs off? Should I order just in case and hope it'll be easy to sell if I end up not liking it?
>>10189983If you have the money you should just do it and resell it after if you don’t like it. I’m sure there’s going to be people who will try to scalp there’s after and you’ll be kicking yourself about not buying it at the original price. If you do the MTO you have until, what, December to decide if you want to keep it?
>>10189983This rerelease took almost a decade to happen. Just order it. Especially if you want the bag. I'm sure that'll at least retain it's value after.
>>10189987>>10189990Thanks for the opinions, gulls. Final question... Did you all choose ivory or yellow? I personally think the cut looks better on the ivory colorway but the yellow was my original favorite. Should I just go with yellow then?
>>10190002I think another anon mentioned before, ivory is more versatile and can be made otome, yellow is a better option to take it OTT. It also depends if you already have blouses, cardigans or boleros that would work with either. I went with yellow.
Got both colors, accessories and the bag as an early bday gift. Feels amazing. Originally I liked mint the most but now yellow and ivory are actually better. They should have included more cuts and colors though (OP would have been nice)
>>10189983Honestly, I'd just buy and resell it later if you end up changing your mind. Just look at all of those Holy Lantern MTOs and they're still going for retail or higher after all these years. However, it would be dumb for people to pass on the bag and jewelry as those were the hardest to come by secondhand.
>>10190002I got both. Yellow is a great OTT piece while ivory let's me tone it down for casual otome-style
>>10190002I chose ivory since it was my top priority on my wishlist and I probably would've paid 500+ for it with or without the pre-order.I was on the fence about yellow and debating if I should get it, but I ended up spending the funds I would've put into that on something else. I'll probably hunt it down in another cut later on.
Did AP USA get to stock those flipping adorable honey cake bear ears for the MTO? Still don't see anything...
AP has been doing MTO rereleases on older dresses.I hope they won't do that with sugary carnival especially the special set.
>>10190184With how washed out and faded poor Sugary Carnival is getting, it really needs one the most
>>10190117Dunno why they would, they were a party exclusive and not part of the JP MTO at all
>>10190184I love sugary carnival but it's already been rereleased. Same with Carnival. Time to sacrifice a goat to the Puppet Circus gods
>>10190198Considering the quality of PC I doubt they could churn out a MTO for it without compromising something
>>10190192Were they actually party exclusive? Not a lolita, but went to Laforet that morning to do an order for a friend. Saw a few pairs of bear ears for sale out on the display, but wasn’t sure if they were meant to go with HC or something else. The actual party looked like it was just all of Laforet closing at 6:00 for a ticket only shopping event. Did overhear a ton of misinformation flying around between English speaking lolitas though lol
>>10190200they weren't party exclusive, just only sold on that friday - they sold out pretty early in the morning though
>>10190199If there was a Puppet Circus MTO it better be $800-$1000. heck even $1,200. I'd pay for it
>>10190200They weren’t exclusive to the party, they were just released as a extra goodie.
>>10190209Actually I could totally see AP doing some anniversary special edition launch for it rather than a MTO. And make it for the Chinese only or something in order to guarantee the return
MTO closes in the morning. What a crazy week it's been for HC.
>>10190214Doesn't it close at the end of the day Monday? (according to AP USA's Instagram)
>>10190215Oh shit. For some reason, I thought I saw it as Monday morning. Thanks for the correction!
>>10190206>>10190210AP candy listed them as "LAFORET PRIVATE Party limited item" on IG
>>10190002At first I got the ivory set because it's my absolute favourite, but I couldn't help the feeling I'd regret skipping out on the yellow, so now I've got both sets on order now lol
>>10190223If you email AP usa about the bear ears, this is their response: "Thank you for your email!!We have received multiple requests regarding the Honey Cake Bear Ear Clips!Request have been made to Japan since we also think it's a great addition to the Honey Cake series.Unfortunately we will not be taking mto for the ear clips with the current Honey Cake mto,but there is a very high chance we will be stocking the ear clips in the future (most likely toward end of the year)."
>>10190223Only because that Friday was literally a all day laforet private party. They had a 11am to 10pm schedule for the party. 11am to 6pm was free to everyone. Then the actual “party” which needed a special invitation started at 7:00pm and ended at 10:00pm
>>10189777You know what’s also terrible? lavender chocolate rosette. But it still happened. You’re way too salty for this thread anon.
>>10189829I’m gonna coord it with something else. I like completing sets too but there are lots of choices out there. I’m super happy desu they didn’t rerelease the socks because now people will have to actually use their brains a bit.
>>10189835Not everyone uses Mercari, dumbass>>10189835
>>10190206The shop keepers kept saying they were and werent sold out. After i heard it was sold out from one shop keeper, i saw another pull out more from a drawer
>>10190270There were three colors. They had plenty of pink left but red and brown were sold out.
>>10190262Lavender chocolate rosette is based
>>10190256OK so my point still stands - they were a party exclusive and had nothing to do with the MTO so I wouldn't expect AP to have included them with the other MTO items
>>10190253Even if this is true, I'm still not regretting snagging a red pair off fril. Slightly scalped but not as bad as what I predicted and within the range of what I considered reasonable.I do still want brown so maybe I'll save that for the possible AP USA release.
>>10190296This idea doesn't hold water anymore after CTP rerelease
I hope this is the end of it, no more MTO on these dresses. There should be only 1 rerelease
>>10190253The ears are kind of shit imo. Material looks like cheap felt and there are better options from taobao.
>>10190358I thought they would generally not rereleased collaboration piece, but it’s rather an exception for the cause of museum opening.
What is the most popular colorway of Honey Cake?
>>10190431I think it is the yellow one.It sits well with the name I feel
>>10190431I always thought it was yellow but I'm pretty sure it's ivory. It's easy to wear due to it being a neutral color palette and definitely not "in your face" compared to yellow.
>>10190455“don’t let fashion go to waste” lol>>10190439i think the yellow was more iconic/memorable but i agree that ivory is easier to coord. yellow was more sought-after imo
Ugh Im so torn I keep flip flopping between ivory and yellow every time I see a cute coord of either....
>>10190466Same anon, but I ended up going with yellow. You have until the rest of the day to decide, let us know what you end up choosing!
>>10189840Good luck with that. Viyella is also really hot and I'm from the northern US.
>>10189954Good to know, thank you! I ordered it because I like the print and I’d heard it fits taller people well. I’m so sick of waist lines hitting around my ribs and making me seem much bigger than I really am
got everything reserved. Its a good day!
>>10190431Obviously both yellow and ivory are the most popular but I think ivory ultimately comes out on top.I ended up choosing yellow because I feel like it can be combined with more colors? I don't know how well the ivory would look with sax for example...Also requesting more toned down coords with the yellow if anyone's got 'em!
I just made my reservation too. I have the money for it, but I will admit that I'm a bit nervous because this is my first time dropping so much on lolita at once (I got the whole set). I hope everything will go well and everyone who ordered will be happy when it comes out. And if not, hopefully we can resell it haha.
I ordered ivory because ultimately I felt like it would be much easier to coord/play down for casual coords. I've always loved the yellow though so hopefully if I ever change my mind in the future, it'll be easier to find because of this MTO. I figure quite a few people ordered both colorways to figure out which one to keep and which one to sell.
>>10190398got any shop recommendations?
For the payment plan... how does payment work after you request one? Do I still need to check out the MTOs online or are they taking care of it?
>>10190507If you already emailed to ask, just wait for them to respond?
>>10190507I think you’re a bit late for that
>>10190484Casual coords are the best
>>10190469After mulling it over I finally chose ivory, yellow is cute but I had to be honest with myself that yellow doesn't usually suit me and nothing else in my wardrobe is yellow
>>10190524bare legged and sunglasses =/= casual, anonshe's wearing animal ears and a bold print cardigan with HC, and carrying a novelty bag. The coord is cute af, don't get me wrong, it's just not casual in the sense that it would fly under the radar of any normies on the street. She'd still stick out like a teddy bear getting honey poured on his ass.
>>10190472You sound retarded.
>>10190559same. though I didn't order the amazing bag. I know its so cute but in my head i cant reason spending so much at once and on a bag. hopefully i wont regret not getting it
I'm thinking of buying two bags in case I damage one, is that stupid or no
>>10190570I was thinking that too but then I didn’t
>>10189784Ap really should release more colours sometimes, there's many dresses i wish came in some other colour
>>10190570That's not stupid at all. It will be easy to resell if you change your mind later. Better having backups of things that are hard to get/coveted. That's why I got two rings.
>>10190570Yes, because it's pleather. It will deteriorate even if you never touch the second.
>>10190563anon, what do you think casual lolita means. theres almost no version of lolita that would "fly under the radar of normies", but it is certainly casual by lolita standards. honestly animal ear headbands are really normal depending on where you live. i see them for sale at claires and forever 21, and not just during halloween time either.
>>10190660Any tips on maintaining pleather?
>>10190660I wish AP would go back and re-release some other bag designs. But I've heard this design is a little more sturdy and less prone to age-related deterioration, rather than the softer material they put on a lot of the bags since the design is printed on this one.I have two of the shooting star bags. I purchased the pink and yellow colorway new with tag in mint condition a few years ago. The straps still wrapped from the store. I wore it once for 4 hours and it was peeling like crazy. Now my lavender one that has had more use is starting to do the same. I have to go over both with leather paint to try to salvage them. I'm very upset about it and would love for AP to release them.
>>10190660I actually got the original bag and it is pristine. I am really careful with my things and store in a cool area (my room's walk in closet) out of direct sunlight and it never peeled or flaked. Some of my friends had other pleather bags peel though so idk if if this bag was made differently?
>>10190563>teddy bear getting honey poured on his assOmg reminds me of the OTK draft in the previous thread haha
>>10190682This makes me wonder if I should have even ordered the HC bag. Sorry to hear about your bags anon.
>>10190685>bag. Sorry to hear about your bags anon.FWIW, I ordered it. The harder pleather tends to hold up much better. When you start getting the really soft to the touch kind, they end up being super-sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. Even just the act of shipping the item or travelling with it packed can cause some to warp due to atmospheric changes.
I wish included the skirt and the bracelet for this MTO rerelease. The skirt would be a nice edition to my casual lolita wearIt really pays to pay for the full set in one go rather than having to search for some pieces.
>>10190685FWIW, I ordered it too. The harder material tends to hold up much better. When you start getting the really soft to the touch kind, they end up being super-sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. Even just the act of shipping the item or travelling with it packed safely away can cause some to warp due to atmospheric changes.
I wish they included the skirt and the bracelet for this MTO rerelease. The skirt would be a great edition to my casual lolita wearIt really pays to pay for the full set in one go rather than having to search for some pieces.
>>10190695I regret not getting the socks years back when I got the dress, but at least they're just simple striped OTK. Finally, now I can have the bag and the KC, only took 6 years.
>>10190684that's the reference dumbass
>>10190718you're never living it down BUT I only use the meme out of love, anonif you make an assbear acrylic charm I'll absolutely buy it and clip it to my bags when I wear my MTO
>>10190723>if you make an assbear acrylic charm I'll absolutely buy it and clip it to my bags when I wear my MTOFuck, I'll make assbear.I'll be making the butter bear face into a resin mold so I'll make some pendants and rosettes with it. The sock design is coming out way cuter now btw. It's definitely much better in a painted style.
>>10190507They will send you your special order link!
>>10190725Anon you are a blessing, I will be anxiously waiting to throw money at you
>>10190741This is much nicer. Still needs work and a bit of refining since some areas are darker or more contrasty than I'd like. I'm still playing with design elements and placement. I tried removing the flat color areas since I'm worried they won't line up. I tried a scallop ribbon design, but I have a few other ideas floating around. Those will be easier to figure out when I get the painted areas completed.
>>10190396But I need pink):<
>>10190740thank you anon! now to wait patiently
>>10190764This is cute! I’d buy this AND an assbear pin
Last call for HC!
>>10190725Yes please do make assbear thanks.
There is an ebic battle for HC jsk on LM right now.Let us send our prayers.
>>10190873Olivine is a literal retard and thinks that the bidding war is someone messing with her
>>10190874What do you mean
>>10190873>ENDING AUCTION PRICE>$951
>>10190873Lmao I hope they enjoy their stretched out dress courtesy of cherry
>>10190876About Me: I am a retired lolita and alchemist who collect dresses in hopes that one day I may pass evertything down to a worthy apprentice.
>>10190682If it's just the straps, you could go to a bag repair shop and get them replaced.
>>10190881kek i saw that. And in the comments she was anger-posting to the seller about how the bidding was "rigged".
>>10190876She comments on listings with stupid shit like “hmmm” or “this is the new cats tea party”, but she thought that being outbid by someone multiple times meant the person was “messing” with her and “rigging” the auction. Which she lost.
>>10190881>alchemistis she a LARPer?
I just don't understand why they decided to rerelease the fugliest cut of it.
>>10190908Ah, so that is why that auction went for so high!
>>10190909probably. now everyone knows the older (better, IMO) cut will never be available again
>>10190917Does anyone think AP will do another Honey Cake MTO like they did with Holy Lantern? I kind of hope not, at least not anytime soon, because if they do end up doing a MTO of my favorite cut then I'll be slapping myself in the head for picking up the round version.
>>10190902She’s just dumb as shit.
>>10190924Turns out "she" is a "he" who encourages children to transition. No wonder they're just a dress collector who wants to groom an "apprentice".
>>10190922I honestly doubt it. I'd kill for the yellow OP
>>10190926You're getting me confused with cass/aero
>>10190908F u l l. B a c k. S h i r r i n g.
>>10190929Nah Cass is the suicidal one. Aero is the pedo trans cult forcing people to transition one.
>>10190882Now my debt is only $19,896! :kuku: :sparkling_heart:
>>10190930Holy shit, that has to be why. God dammit, fucking fats even ruined honey cake for me.
I still have a scar that says Oli (in cursive)
>>10190939Are you Olivine or something? What are you talking about?
>>10190939Oli made me take HRT and carve her name into my legs
>>10190931Isn't Olivine friends with those people?
>>10190954A while back on /qa/ I remember seeing some /pol/tards yelling about how /r9k/ was getting invaded by some tranny Discord that was there to push susceptible underage b&s into taking HRT and carving the server owner's(?) name into their skin. It's probably what anons are referencing. Hopefully someone that knows the story better can give a more accurate summary.
>>10190909I think it's the old switching cut plus the excellent quality. Feels like most honeycakes I see for sale have been worn to death.
>>10190945holy shit wtf, I've sold twice to them now. Is there proof for real? I'm gonna put up a don't sell to them comment on my profile.
>>10190997The fact that they're a dress collector and a fucking retard who thinks sellers are trying to "rig" auctions should be enough reason never to sell to them.
>>10190713No shit dumb bitch
>>10190873it could have been higher....
>>10190922Probably not but I could see them doing a special set in a new cut
>>10190997nayrt but when i knew him he was dating an underage girl. i think it's important for people to know, i wouldn't want him having my return address on the postage t b h
>>10190997Not them but this isn't true Olivine isn't friends with them to my knowledge, and those trans cults are mostly misinformed rumors. >>10191014I do know Olivine isn't dating an underage girl.
>>10191015this was like 2 years ago fampai, doesn't make it okay though
>>10190939extremely funny and witty post, how did you come up with it?
>>10190922Save money and buy the other version if it pops up. We don't really know the full numbers of people buying this, if it's not that popular AP might just never touch it again. As for Holy Lantern, that was really a special case, (no, not talking about the dress being special) -- the MTO had to be closed down fucking halfway into the week because they'd hit max capacity of the factory, then they had to re-open the same MTO with the second batch having a later delivery date and it still filled up pretty quickly. When was the last time you heard that happen? With that kind of level of demand, you'd be stupid not to do yet another re-release to milk that popularity. I'm not sure that I'd compare anything else to Holy Lantern's endless re-releases.
>>10190725I can’t wait!! Def want assbear
>>10191015Think about all the times Oli has mentioned things like "my mental age is 14/12/7 etc." You probably didn't know her when she dated an underage.>>10190997I can tell you that Olivine isn't some crazy pillpusher; the drama you are referring to is basically a fabricated story. That said she is in debt by an absurd amount, so if she is blacklisted from buying dresses you will only be doing her a favor.
>>10190699I ordered one and if it doesn't suit me, might consider taking it to a tailor to turn into a skirt. I love skirts
How likely do you think a "special set" in sax, red, or grey is in the nearish future? I'm betting on it personally. However, I'm not sure how well this pre-order went and if we'll get second round. I'm also not sure if we'll get a multitude of special sets or new colors like Chocolate Rosette, since this isn't really Holy Lantern levels.Did Chinese lolitas even care about Honey Cake? Was there even any hype from them? Honey Cake demand seems like it's almost entirely in the western market.
>>10191042I hope for a special set but highly doubt it will happen. There was little to no hype from the Chinese and Japanese lolitas, so yes it was predominantly the western market that showed interest. I even heard that Chinese lolitas asked for refunds the moment they found out that the new HC wasn't cotton. However, I'm hoping there was *enough* preorders to show that rereleasing HC was ultimately a good idea to AP headquarters.
>>10191046How many dresses are normal releases? I know at least 5 other people who bought HC, several bought both colorways
>>10191046>I even heard that Chinese lolitas asked for refunds the moment they found out that the new HC wasn't cotton.if the Chinese are complaining that's good for lolitas who want it in cotton, please AP do a cotton release I will buy that too
>>10190725I don’t even have (or want) HC and I’m thinking about buying this assbear charm desu. What a wholesome cgl experience.
>>10190725Assbear pls! <3 thnx
>>10191046what is the new fabric exactly, anyway?
>>10190930I'd like to thank my fellow americans for being so fat that they didn't even bother with the two best cuts of the print
>>10191102It's a type of polyester blend called viyella (sp?). It's the same fabric that was used for British Bear, British Crown, or Be My Valentine for reference. It's a smooth, soft, light material, with a subtle sheen in certain lighting.
>>10190764smaller butter bear on top and a less urine looking honey
>>10190764The black shading is kinda offputting desu.
>>10190764Tooooooooo many pancakes in the stack.
>>10191106its not 2011
So I ordered mine from AP USA. It was my first time ordering directly from them. I did it as a guest. I didn't get a confirmation email. Is that normal?
hc posts from tumblr
>>10191397meant to post this one first
>>10191408Anyone know where the bolero is from?>>10191392I got an email but I have an account.
>>10190470if those shoes were on western lolitas, they'd be roasted
>>10190936Just buy an original version, anon.
>>10191442Let me know next time you see a yellow OP for sale.
>>10191392>>10191411I double checked and it was in my spam folder.
>>10191441Well they're from Australia if that matters
>>10191411That's me. The bolero is from Glitter Tale. Honestly, you can commission one from any of the custom order blouse/bolero shops out there. I've also went with Bunny House and some others that are no longer in business. They're great for when you need something in a specific color and you're not in the mood to wait forever for something to be released by a brand or pop up on the 2nd hand market.
>>10191662You should lose weight, you’re quite fat.
>>10191671>quiteQuit pretending to be dainty. No ones buying it.
>>10191671shut the fuck up monkey
>>10191506Doesn't matter cause they look like japs. People will still jack them off even though they're wearing goddamn jellies.
>>10191709No they don't. They're too fat.
>>10190908>>10190930>>10191106>>10190936but the OP has full back shirring, too
>>10191671Hey you should fuck off and stop going off topic dumbass
>>10190725>tfw friends nickname for me is also assbearI can’t wait to be decked out in assbear swag
>tfw a bunch of fats get mad when you point out someone is obese Yikes
>>10191989listen shit stain, we're here to see coords of honey cake not bitch about someones weight.
>>10191995You’re on 4ch, you’re going to hear fat people called fat, leave if you’re too sensitive to handle it.
>>10191996Its not a fatty chan vs fatty chan thread. Its a honey cake thread. Fuck off.
>>10191983That’s AiryMichelle on Instagram. Shes a kind soul.
>>10191847but it has sleeve-holes for human-sized arms
friendly reminder that not all shirring is made the same.half shirring goes from 98cm max to ~120cm maxand only experience tells you where you stand when ordering online.shirred neckline is a gem but rare. bigger busts need vertical space too. This mto cut not only has adjustable straps but also half shirring on the more generous end of the spectrum.just because something has shirring doesn't mean it's going to fit me, a tall (taller than average American male) marshmallow chan.I can't tell you happy I am that I can own this iconic sweet print without butchering it with alterations.
>>10191983Anyone know what socks these are?
>>10192075which the elastic can be removed or stretched to fit fat arms, too
>>10191441i've seen a lot of white girls with jelly sandals and no one cared. It was fairly common around 2013, too. I hate those shoes personally, painful ass fucks should go back to the 90s
It might be fun to start planning coords to go with the MTOs while we wait... Do you plan on wearing it in a way you've seen before? Or are you planning to rock convention to it's core and try something new?
>>10192296I'm actually very happy just having the dress and the pancake mix bag, so don't really feel the need to mix it up. Will probably be going with the tried and tested red bolero and shoes combo, maybe some bear ears if I'm feeling wild.
>>10190936Sorry that you have the flat body of a 12 yr old boy and think anyone with actual boobs = fat
>>10192296I'm going to try something different! I'm not a fan of the way most people coord Honey Cake.
Sock / assbear anon here.In case the discussion peters out, I made a google doc to get everyone's emails so I can update you when items are ready!Likely, I will be making the design, ordering it and trying it out before putting up a preorder for them. So it may be a couple of weeks.https://forms.gle/8WM16NNUR4Vr76A79
>>10191392Hi, magical girl me.
>>10191981What’s the backstory behind this iconic photoshoot?
>>10190478That is a heckin' cute blouse on the left
>>10192677Isn't it a stock photo series?
>>10192401Bragging about big boobs because you're fat is like bragging about owning a fast car when it's falling off a cliff. We all know you're not some playboy model, you're not fooling anyone.
>>10192736Jesus Christ let it go, stop falling for obvious bait.
>>10192736Go play with your tonka truck in the middle of traffic. Nobody cares that you need to flaunt your withered dried up store-brand hot-dog dick into every space possible. Go back to fapping to cosplayers and stay out of our god damn pancake dress thread.
>>10192755>triggered so hard that you dont even bother denying itNo one wants to wear a honeycake cut that's only being sold to fit beasts like you. Go cry over a picture of Marilyn Monroe or whatever you fatasses do to pretend you're feminine. I'll stick to wearing my OP, thanks.
>>10192401>>10192736>>10192755You're all fucking retarded.
>>10192296I will probably start by trying to get the same vintagey kitschy vibe I've always loved from Honey Cake coords, and then slowly work up to doing something different.I think a huge appeal of honey cake for me was all the creative coords I always saw with it. Come December, I think we will start seeing a lot of shit tier and meh Honey Cake coords, people trying to hard to be creative, or just wearing the full set, a lot of bitching about it being different from the original, "looks like a replica lol meme dress" just like Holy Lantern.. I at least want to enjoy wearing it the way I always dreamed.Looking for a lot of pancake and bear themed accessories like a basic bitch.
>>10192776Doesn't it come out in January?
>>10192783December is the announced date for the Japan mto but it may be late
>>10192784Usually the international orders are roughly 2 weeks out from the Japanese ones. I've done a few MTOs where I've purchased them on the international site, and others where I've went through AP USA. Typically, I get it about two to three weeks after the Japanese orders. I believe the items are shipped to to the other shops, and from there, they are processed and sent out to each person who ordered. Whereas from Japan directly, they would just need to process the orders and ship them out. Then, we'd get a little longer delay as it would need to go through Tenso first. Likewise with a SS, they would need to receive order and ship it to you.
>>10192784Did they specify when in December? Like beginning or end of the month?
>>10192776Which are your favorite creative coords with honeycake?
>>10192789>they would just need to process the orders and ship them out.Not for Honey Cake. You have to pick it up in December, probably with a passport because that's their form of ID in Japan
>>10193052You don’t need ID to pick up your dress from AP in Japan, just the paper order form.
>>10193192good to know. thanks anoni was told by a friend that id need my passport
>>10192776Qpot has an amazing banana pancake necklace
>>10192594Nayrt but why do you think it’s necessary to name drop someone for no reason at all?
>>10190764What site do you plan on using to get your tights printed? I’ve been wanting to print my own tights for a few coords that I’m missing leg wear for, but I’m not super impressed with any of the sites I’ve seen so far. The reviews aren’t the greatest or they want like $40 to print 1 pair
>>10193772I use Artwear Labs. They used to offer tights, but they only do thigh highs and other sock options now. It's not too bad since I don't need to order multiple sizes and they fit pretty much anyone. The only downside is the pesky rolling down, but even AP's printed OTKs do this.Otherwise, The quality is pretty good, the colors are long-lasting and vibrant, they have a quick turnaround, and have been really great to work with. Their website has a lot to be desired, but I do recommend them.Otherwise, it looks like Artsmoo is probably the other best option for tights but it's a little pricier at $20 a pair.
Pretty sure I found sock anons shop from the information shes been posting in this thread and the last. She is >>10191408 (probably self posted) and I would assume the one that keeps sperging about people talking about fattychans in this thread
>>10193776can you post a google drive folder or dropbox with your designs? I'd like to see them again!
