Slightly sarcastic real answer: No. You are supposed to be rejected if they find a filled flask on you or if your flask spills or leaks any sort of liquid even despite the fact that they will have open bars inside the con hall. This goes for all cons. They probably aren't going to do shit since because EVERYONE will be drunk as shit and again, will have bars on the con floor.

However flasks I find are stupid are pointless. The point of a flask is to sneak booze in to places, and since you won't need to do that it would be better just to leave it at home. Some people suggest getting the big Kalihari cups. While I find them fun and HUUUUUUUUUUGE making them perfect for drinks, I think your best bet is to stop by walmart or a dollar store and get a cup with a resuable straw and a screw top lid like pic related that I picked up ay Ohayo con a few years back. If you drop your Kalihari cup you're gonna spill a shit ton everywhere and it's probably gonna break too which those cups are exspensive. Plus when you are drunk you are most likely going to forget the cup at a party, and to top it off people LOVE stealing those cups since they are so expensive.

My cheerleading cup was only a few bucks and still pretty big. Plus it's much more durable and cheap, so even in the case it does break or you loose it you can just buy a new one that doesn't cost an arm or leg. Plus it's much eaiser to know which cup is yours and no one is going to try and take it. Another plus is since most other cons have a IF WE SEE BOOZE YOURE OUT policy it's perfect for every other cons cause it hides the liquid inside so the only question anyone will ask you is "why the hell did you buy a fucking cheerleading cup?"

Plus it's machien washable and can be easily packed for the other cons too!

Most panels are bullshit but I try to attend at least like one per con day. Last year these guys had talked about cell animation techniques and I thought it was a pretty underrated panel with only 4-8 people.
Fuck that one fat guy in every panel who keeps interrupting with his two cents. Let the speakers give their presentation or shut up.

Oddly enough, I don't even think doing a sweet lolita genderbend Edward Elric is all that hard, AP regularly makes military lolita that you can copy from, OnS vols 10 and 12 both have military lolita patterns you can use. And even if you did insist on going full sugary sweet, nothing really stops you from throwing a Roland over a pastel x black jsk (although red Magic Amulet jsk would definitely work much better).

Real talk I’ve been to both fetlife and cgl meetups at Dragon Con

The cgl people were 100000% worse.

The fetlifers were at least aware that their shit isn’t for everyone and weren’t all public with it and hated the ones that were.

They were super friendly and very protective. Also asked permission before sending nudes.

I went to their meet up expecting so much worse.

Granted this may have been a regional thing, I’ll be lurking the munch at colossal to see if they’re better or worse.

I’ve heard a lot of things about this con. The waterpark seems fun, but I’ve heard that an abundance of weed/sex/alcohol is a standard for Colossalcon too. Kalahari would be my pick for the access to the water park but I’ve heard trying to get rooms is a raffle system pain and always packed full. I’m not comfortable around drugs/weed/smoking/vaping/violent or sexually harassing drunks/being in a small area with a lot of people/staying in a hotel room if others are getting sexual in there. Any suggestions or ideas? I haven’t bought a ticket or looked into rooms yet but I was kind of interested in a waterpark anime con.

Host gave off low key creepy vibes but not that bad.

Okay so I can’t speak for all cons and fetlife is actually a lot more private with their shit.

Like if you see people on leashes there’s a 90% chance it’s a fucking. The 10% chance it’s a fetlifer is if their new and assume everyone’s gonna wanna see it.

A lot of the parties I’ve seen are invite only and you usually get those from the munches. Munches aren’t anything sexy it’s just meeting up for food and making introductions.

For the people that go it’s not AS as you’d expect. It’s still bad but you’ll go in expecting a 1/10 and see 4/10.

The people vary. Like I said one girl was really cute, there was a couple good looking guys. The ratio of average guys to road hugs was 1:1

For girls it can vary a lot and depends on who shows up.

I usually just go to see the drama scenes but the ones at Dragon Con were petty cool. The ones here were more on the cringey side but not like. Omega cringe. Most of it was mild cringe where you just look at them like “okay” and go back to whatever.

Idk what was up with the person who was working the catering for our event. We had to keep asking for replacements on food. We had to ask for the hot water to be changed twice. She'd vanish for awhile and not come back or clear the plates until she saw that I was doing it. We usually have someone who is on top of things and I don't have to monitor that area at all, and can take a few minutes to socialize with everyone and thank them for attending.

By the end of it and when I could grab some pancakes after everyone else, there were no forks, two plates (so no refills if anyone wanted them). Forks were just dumped in the basket, which I found odd. And yes, no other silverware. I saw the lady who usually helps us when we were setting up, but then she gone when we started and the other lady was helping. Honestly, I think she was new. It was a bit stressful for me, especially since I'd forgotten my box of supplies and centerpieces trying to make sure my artist alley items were packed.

The coord contest went to the girl in the Castle Mirage with the various headpieces and black overlays.

She wouldn’t eat because stress.

I went to a local con here and hotel allowed dogs so I brought mine to save money on a sitter.

She’s 110% an indoor dog, v friendly, etc.

Didn’t eat the entire time we were there and even though she was in the hotel room and it wasn’t a party con I think the amount of people walking past freaked her out a little.

Most of the reason I went home Sunday morning was to destress her so she would eat.

Anyway kitten dude has been posting in fb group and he has vet appointments lined for up the cat.

I feel like he actually cares but he was still a huge attention douche at the con
