I have never applied for one of these model applications before. I own about zero to one things from the brands that I want to model for (one of which to be fair is very hard to get). How slim are my chances if I just go with what I know best for my headshot photo? None of the brands are repped in the photo, but I'm comfortable with the styling for it and I do believe it fits the styling of at least some of the brands.

This is local enough to count, but the Paradiso staff also runs the Naka-kon tea party since it's the local comm/local anime con.
The last time I went to the lolita tea was in 2017, and they made it seem like a big ad for Paradiso, pamphlets on each table, bringing it up while serving the tea and again at the raffle.
In 2018 they actually had a fashion guest, Atelier Pierrot, did it seem like a promo for Paradiso then, or was the focus shifted to the fashion guest?
I'm curious bc this year Meta is coming and I'm going back to the tea party after skipping it last year.

The only complaint I've seen in the thread so far that is worthwhile are the ouji pageant crown looking questionable. You are right, the other complaints are unrelated to Paradiso, and the staff member should realize that and not let it get to them. and maybe its just me, but i think the weird printed fabric that the crown is sitting on is what is making it look off, i think if they had chosen a plain black backdrop it wouldnt look quite as rough, the busy pattern distracts from the busy design of the crown and gives it an appearance of unevenness.
i hope the staff tries to reel in their emotions a bit because its just going to get blown up here, but like i said earlier, i cant say as i blame them for being frustrated (though maybe dont air that shit out publicly).

In general humor news, I’d wait to sell my ticket to MBee until model applications close. Not that she would be chosen, but just for the lulz. The admin of the group finally gave her a small public smackdown and will now only let her bump her ‘begging for a ticket’ post once a week. She’s annoying, whiney and seems to be a generally stupid person.

The staff issued very good exit surveys and I’m sure they are taking the suggestions of repeat customers to heart. Anon crying, memes and critique are not of any importance as long as ticket sales are good and repeat attendees are having fun. (And we are!)
