Hope it's better than the AX """exclusive merch""" because that was pretty mediocre. Just some lanyards (Saber's had the "Altria" name on it, so it's garbage) and Riyo did a custom sticker, which was the only decent thing. I wish it was available in like, a poster or magnet or anything else but a sticker that has a one-time use. Everything else was already available merch through Amiami etc

The Cu Alter plushy and command card shirts were popular. You can get them from Japan but it's kind of hard. Hopefully they will have more at the standalone event.
I'm hoping the official cosplayers aren't as terribly mediocre as the last HF premier and AX. Why can't they get anyone who's not wearing a costume straight from China for these events?

most of them are hired by ACP for the event. they get their butt to the show and provide a costume and they'll get picked. it's incredibly cheap for ACP who make good money providing people to companies.

99% of fate cosplay is either straight out of the package from china or lazy meme cosplay. It's just so cheap and readily available it's hard to avoid.

Both the Cu plush and the shirts were already available on sites like Amiami, so again, not "exclusive" like they were marketing. Those shirts were also...really scalped haha. I'm not going to pay $35 for a shirt that I could get on Taobao for less than $10. The quality wasn't really different.

Agreeing with you on the cosplayers though. Some were ok, but others were...not so great. Not exactly impressive compared to other "official cosplayers" for different series (SAO comes to mind for me). A shame considering that there are plenty of extremely talented cosplayers for this fandom.

That Cu plush was never on AmiAmi unless it was second hand. It was an Aniplex exclusive that was only sold at like two events and online for two order periods (with a limited amount you could buy per person) on Aniplex+ which only ships in Japan. They sell for $100+ second hand most of the time.

God, I had a really bad experience with some of those during AX, the MHX girl had an attitude and was acting really bitching for someone who just had to give lanyards to the crowd
