I love the coord, but there are two things that really bring it down - her v-bangs aren't crisp at all, they just look scruffy, and the necklace looks REALLY cheap. I love Gothic v-bangs, they remind me of the heyday of Goth, but they need to be done well, and she really hasn't trimmed them neatly. Those two are definitely worse by far, yeah. But oldschool still isn't an excuse to entirely skip makeup as the first girl seems to have done. The GLBs were full of makeup tutorials, and the look emphasized natural or light makeup, not having none at all. I will backtrack and say I like the actual clothes in the first one, but not the complete look. Using short hair in lolita is already tricky because of the need to visually balance the volume of a petti, and a bare face only adds to the sense of unevenness.

I think the one is the IW British Crown print tried too hard to style her hair and that's why it looks so bad. Sometimes just curling your hair or putting it in a bun looks a lot better than trying to do fancy hairdos. Look at the photo, she has some half up half down thing so clearly she tried. It's just not a cute style. She teased it badly to try to get volume instead of just curling or braiding it
