Many airsoft stores have a "boneyard" section where they sell broken/returned/floor model guns at discounted prices. From there you could either fill the gun with expanding foam to deactivate it, or use it for castings.

So Halloween is coming up quick and usually I am something zombie-themed. I was thinking this year I could be a zombie Nazi and apparently there is a movie called "Dead Snow" that has zombie Nazis in it. I haven't seen it yet. Nice! I'll have to check it out. I really want to do this, not sure if I want to get a uniform just to fuck it up. For example, I made BP and used it on my pirate zombie costume to give it that certain look of being shot up close with a pistol. Put blood around the scorch mark. Was really a lot of fun, but if I do this one, I probably will just do my face and no ruin the uniform. I have a paper cutting machine so I can cut any stencils of emblems out to spray paint on the helmet if needed.

I've been planning a Krupinski cosplay for a while now and I'm not completely sure what the real world equivalent of her jacket would be. Would I be right in guessing that its a blue Lufftwaffe jacket circa 1945-ish or would it be the plain wool tunic? I just wanted to double check so I could find the right pattern or perhaps alter an existing one if I could get my hands on it. Look to 1700-1800s reenacting suppliers for a red uniform jacket, or look into some dye. Either will get you into the ballpark of what you want.

The bottom layer is a scuba suit, but the entire upper body is fictional. I can say that the correct construction for the armor would be a nylon shell stuffed with probably kevlar as the real protection.

No clue on this one. Cutting up a plate carrier may not go well.

Well I'm not from the US, I'm in the german Army, so I am sationed in Germany too, logically. But thanks for appreciating my cervix, few people do, especially here.

A Hunk cosplay or the USS soldiers from Operation raccoon city are pretty cool designs, it's just that they are complicated to make, the parts are expensive (importing a S10 gas mask from the UK for a hunk cosplay is crazy expensive) so most folks just wear black tactical stuff, with a random gas mask and slap an umbrella patch on and it's a good enough alternative that average con-goers will recognize. And i've seen it happen to me, how many times did i hear people say "umbrella corporation soldiers!" instead of "resident evil!"

Ehy guys i need your help a bit.
I'm working in a rainbow six siege themed cosplay. More precisely i'm working on Maestro. Since i'm not a big airsoft player myself i'm having problems finding the armor he's wearing and his backpack.
For the camo, patches, gloves, goggles it's fine, i already have those. But i'm having big problems finding those 2 items, since they seems very specific. Can you guys give me a hand?

Vietnam style surplus has gotten popular recently. There's always Rothco. (I got a pair new on ebay $20 free ship.) If you're size 9 theres a pair of OD green Fox jungle boots for $23. I have a little bit of eva foam left over from a previous project and want to make prop guns and youtube videos. I'm a gun nut, as I expect many of you are, so I want to sort of challenge myself and see how well I can make one. At the moment I only have enough for one handgun, but eventually I want to make the M2 or .50cal machine gun from Fallout 76. What handgun would you be most interested in seeing be made? I have some airsoft guns I can work with as well as real ones, but the top three I'm thinking are 1911, makarov, or usp and possibly maybe the M93r.
