Because the blouse is unflattering on her, it makes her look bigger than she is especially around the waist. Also, I don't know if she's wearing an ill fitting bra (if at all) or if it's the blouse again but something makes her bust looks droopy and sad; again, not a good look.
Unrelated to the blouse but I think some volume in her hair would be more flattering too, and either switching out the short socks for sheer tights to go with the sheer blouse, or switch the blouse (preferably imo) for a cotton short sleeve lolita blouse or even a cutsew, there are some that look just like blouses and would be much cuter.

Don't get me wrong, the coord isn't horrible or ita, it's just not special like anon thinks it is.
Personally I'd ditch the pompom things and use an actual lolita accessory like a bow or two. The black ribbon she has is nice and works with the print, but it doesn't stand out very well against her wig. The styling of her wig leaves something to be desired too but I won't comment on that. Also, brands have released socks with ribbon detailing for years, which I think would be much cuter than Hot Topic's clearance rack tights.
They're nitpicks and not a really big deal, honestly the most I'd change about this is the hair accessories; but saying that pompoms and striped tights with platform shoes are "special" is hilariously misguided.

Her blazers are too long and angular for the aesthetic; she needs shorter, waist-length jackets that button at the top, and no weird lapels. Something with a Peter Pan collar if you can find it.
Pointy shoes are wrong--normie work shoes with more rounded toes are out there.
I get that a headpiece may be ootq for day to day as a lawyer, but show a little more lolita in your sock and blouse choices to make up for it.
Add some jewelry--a broach, a necklace, something.
And show us the purse--is it a lolita purse? Include in the coord shot.

The other anon is not me btw. My point isn't that we shouldn't encourage them not to buy it, it's that even people who love everything about lolita and have already been told to buy directly for years don't even do it most or all the time vs buying secondhand.

The attitude I'm complaining about is people pretending that random normies who haven't even looked into the fashion for themselves are going to make any kind of difference. A few of these people will even say that doesn't matter if they wear brand at all, that just "discussing" lolita will somehow help. Those people you're talking about often overlap with who I'm complaining about. At this point if they're old enough to afford direct brand and see it as anything more than a costume they'd already know about it for the most part. At least in the English speaking world lolita is talked about everywhere on alternative fashion communities, weeb forums, wherever goths are, and even regular fashion communities. I found it myself over a decade ago through an article about "Japan's version of goth" or something like that. It and every other "Harajuku" style been relatively "mainstream" for a foreign alternative fashion for ages now. Ignoring that if not even Japanese lolitas can keep brands afloat the western community most likely won't. We're behind both the Chinese and the Japanese in terms of influence and that won't change until one of them loses interest in lolita almost completely.
