Honestly putting the “can furries lolita” thing aside (and there is a valid argument for it), the problem is that people don’t coordinate their outfit with their animal costume. People say “well you don’t coordinate skin color with lolita” but there’s two issues with that statement. One, skin color is critical, some tones just don’t look good on some skin. Pasty white flesh tends to clash hard with orange, although granted that’s not a terribly common color in lolita, but it’s just an example. Second, fursuits are not skin. There’s usually a lot of colors and textures going on, so it’s crucial to make sure things line up. It’s like having a pastel barf wig with an IW classic coordinate.

In any case, if you remove the fur parts and it looks ita, then it’s still ita. A supermodel can put on a hideous coordinate and her face alone won’t be enough to save the worst of the ita messes.

I’m Catholic and personally I’m fine with people just enjoying it for the aesthetic. Catholicism has been tied with art and culture for centuries and the imagery is very beautiful. Most artists weren’t creating religious art and cathedrals out of devotion, they were doing it because that’s where the money was at.

I’ve actually met people who came to God because they found the aesthetic so beautiful that they wanted to learn more about the faith and ended up converting. Many pieces where commissioned tho, and the Church was the biggest commissioner. Many Christian themed art was commissioned by Christians. These pieces also where made with knowledge of the religion, even when it wasn't the primary reason for the artist.

My problem is that half is this religious themes are used by people who don't know shit about it, and in most cases don't learn. I've also seen many cases of people blindly following the simplified or even wrong and misinterpretated version they once heard. Especially Christianity and Buddism in Europe seems bad. Most Christians I know haven't read bible, only follow the parts someone told them and what they like to hear.

This is my problem. The random uses, in most cases, don't tell the whole or true story. And many won't bother to look it up. It causes ignorance to believes. Maybe in a few cases people found God because of it in a proper way. But 9/10 it just causes more unneeded ignorance in the world because some idiot wanted to make money out of something he doesn't know shit about.

No, I'm European. It differs a bit per country here, but where I live, people tend to care for their religion, even if it's just because they agree with it and not doing anything else with it. Stating your religion generally shows a lot of what type of person someone is, since they agree with those norms and values and believe in whatever the holy writings and leaders say.

Even those who got it all wrong do tend to believe it's correct, and care for the fact they believe it. It's kinda annoying that religion is abused like this because believe is somewhat important, but there is also a lot of ignorance in the sense of commercialised religious ignorance and historical values and culture being lost.

I heard America is bad with is, but I dunno to what extend to be honest. I heard they don't even use protestant, Christian and Catholic properly (using Christians 's if equal to protestant and not including Catholics). But then, it's all stories. As a follower of Eastern Orthodoxy, this. This all day, every day. Having 'theme' parties is just that - glorified costume events. At least in America, there’s a societal expectation of dark, formal clothes for funerals...but of course, there’s a movement towards death positivity that has gained some traction what with the internet and such. A lot of people like the idea of a “celebration of life” rather than a more typical funeral. Colors, patterns, even themed clothes at funerals are becoming more common. At any rate anyone who uses a funeral as a spotlight is shit, but dressing nicely (or in alternative fashion) isn’t automatically begging for attention.

As to the christian question, maybe christians shouldn’t have gone around trying to convert everybody if they didn’t want their symbols to be used so much. I’ve had tons of christians try to guilt me/force me into the religion, you bet your ass I’ll wear as many crosses and such as I please. The blouse and tights are too stark white for this look, the blouse looks kinda odd and doesn't fit nice. Very bulking on the side of the skirt. The make-up doesn't match her coord, not is it a neutral one. Especially the random bright pink lipstick that's very bright on that dark skin looks odd. Fine in a coord with pink, but it's a stark, unnatural pink in a coord with otherwise mature/neutral colours. That bonnet also sits kinda odd on her head, and her hairs looks a bit unbrushed, but I'm willing to let that last one go under the norm of "daily wear, wind blows it out of model".

The blue lace seems super random tho. I don't mind the lack of accesouries, as I like simple daily coords and it wouldn't leave empty looking places if she had a beter colour blouse and tights.

Blouse cut is also kinda weird. The sleeves look like loose business blouse sleeves, and the colour just seems kinda odd with that low V line. It seems like a lolita blouse with that lace on the neck border, but far from a style that should be worn with a coord like this.

I think they are so desperate to be part of something they don't see it. they are unaware because they are mentally so sad and lonely deep inside they won't see the truth, because it would hurt them too much. I think they reality just hide from that reality because they can't take it.

Generally they tried to be "normal" and popular with the "normal" kids at some point, and can't. Like these nerdy outcast really want to belong somewhere, and they tend to be nice, but they just don't get it so no one will take them. It's a sad reality some grow out, some stay in forever.

If I saw someone at a funeral overdressing or in an outfit that is completely inappropriate(like as if they are going to a party on a fucking funeral day of all days)compared to everyone else there, I would feel salt over it because it would strike me as them being an attention whoring in a completely inappropriate place at a completely inappropriate time.
