A little broke at the moment but if someone was selling the SFC set separately id snatch it from you in a heartbeat
(Unfortunately can't afford the whole dress set on Mercari right now. maybe in a few weeks I'll buy it all, unless I had a solid buyer for the dress)

As always, set on colors/cuts except I would be content with Magic Amulet in black/red or in jsk form.

It's not popular at all and as far as I know, I'm the only one who posted about it. She is not trying to sell it right know, but she bought the listing on lacemarket last week that a kind anon mentioned in the last thread. So I'm honestly hoping that she just bought it because she likes it too and wants to wear it, so the dress finds a good home with her. You listed most of the best places but the Facebook sales comms also are a good place to look. Some people don’t sell on LM and do sell on Facebook. Also look into mercari for people selling. But often times it’s just checking the sites you listed often and waiting till it shows up. I had to wait for 3 years for mine to show up any where. I got mine through in this thread (bless you australian anon). It was a rather popular release that year, which sold out quickly, I couldn't get it on release. But it's not really that popular overall, but simply hard to find.
I think most owners just don't want to part with it, since it's really pretty in person and rather big compared to similar dresses like Merry Making in the Ghost Town.

Now that you mention worn pictures, I remember never posting my outfits pictures on instagram (even though I got engaged in it lol). Maybe I should post some. If you'd like any detail pictures feel free to ask.

IIRC the red sold out in about 5 mins (the low-waist JSK) but all cuts were in stores for a couple days. Red is the most popular colorway, but the cut you want is less sought after so that might help. I got mine from a friend and cherish it, you’ll love yours when you get it, too!

I preordered mine through the shop and they told me the purple was the more desired and that there was soo much demand for the purple that they Made twice as many of them then the others. The red was second most popular but was still available to be ordered through the stores themselves before they went live for online orders. I ordered four dresses ( one of red and purple both jsk cuts) and the purple ones came almost three weeks later then the reds due to the double production. It’s not a matter of red selling out more, it’s a matter that purple was avalible after due to more being made.

That’s why there was a bonnet made in fhe print. Also there’s orange in the print you could work with. Around Halloween time you can find some good purple and orange stuff that matches the print if you go to craft stores and make accessories. But really, there isn’t any thing wrong with just having the jsk be the only thing purple.

Before I sold off my Honey Cake set I kept getting offers of $250-300 for it because of how badly damaged it was. Good thing I refused those offers because I managed to sell it for more than twice that in auction. I would have kept it if it weren’t for the fact that my wide football player back prevented me from wearing it comfortably. To answer, that item is not a coveted piece, and would seem like a 'I don't want it so I have to give it away to get rid of it' sort of gift, which is still nice but won't be well received, except by new folks that wouldn't possibly be affronted.
Building a wardrobe takes time and consideration, curating, but littler items like accessories, bags or jewelry can also be costly and hard to find, plus a lot of lolitas are paycheck to paycheck from what I can tell, not so much of a budget for smaller needed things over main pieces.
If you have a budget big enough to use a main piece from AATP, you could just as easily get several smaller/pricey for what it is items to the same value.

Or, just get the dress for you and don't do a raffle?

Like let's say New Years rolls around and there's a coveted dress being released, if you did a raffle on a dress like that and you're already established with raffling smaller items (like jewelry or purses, accessories and that sort), it would draw in more attention. Yeah, that's not a coveted dress. Not every dress is a popular one. Even AP has some fugly duds that no one wants to touch with a ten-foot pole.

I'm with the other anon. Go small and start with like a $10-$30 accessory raffle, that way you only need like 10-30 people sending you $1 and you can send them whatever. Build up to an actual dress. It's sale season at the moment, so you should be quick if you want to take advantage of lower prices to kick-start the raffling thing, then you'll have a more solid rep by the time it comes to raffling an actual dress.

Also publicise your winners. Link back to the recipient's blog or whatever, it helps people realise you're actually sending out dresses and not lying.

You'll also want to clarify what happens if you don't hit your target. I'm guessing you want to keep the excess $1 that people send you, which is fine -- anyone who sends a dollar hoping to receive brand new burando is probably fine knowing you're keeping the excess. What happens if you don't actually hit $300 or whatever is needed to buy the dress? Do you refund everybody the money? Keep it and send them something small? Hash these details out in the open and announce them up front, at least you'll avoid angry misunderstandings calling you a scammer.

Anon, Scheherazade was one thousand and one nights which is an Arabic theme. Magic carpets, Genies in lamps and jewels. Mexico isn’t even remotely close to the same theme as that. If there is any thing that would be even considered it would be the sugar skulls. Mexico doesn’t have any thing that would provide the mysticism of what brands like. You don't really know much about Mexican lore and history then. They have mermaids and witches and a ton of lore. Much of their culture is a mix of traditional indigenous tribes and European ideals that came over. It's actually pretty cool to learn about, and I genuinely don't think it's a far fetch. The Bright contesting colors of traditional Mexican garments and the overly gawdy lace is what people associate with Mexico more then a mermaid lore. And that itself looks like trash. You know full well of a Japanese brand tried to do a spin on any thing Mexican, it would be multi colored pompom trim with some fushia, lime green, electric blue and mustard yellow that is associated with Mexico now. Japanese brands are not one to really research origins and stories of unpopular traditions from countries that no one really cares to look into. Maybe it’s best if they didn’t do something Mexican culture because I don’t think they would do it right either since Mexico is such a convoluted mess of a culture.
