I did, it worked alright but it had not a lot of volume on the legs and arms, so it was not very cute.

He's got a good 5-6 inches on me, unfortunately.

I do have a tall friend who owns a nice kigu though, so I think I'll borrow that and trace it for a pattern instead of following that one. Thanks gulls!

For the arms and legs you can just make the area by the wrists/ankles wider to add more "fluff" to them.

Does anyone have a pattern for a hood like pic related? I know how to do the cape/cloak but I'm struggling with making a baggy/draped hood

Play around with draping and pattern drafting - to me this looks almost like there's a cowl hood with some extra fabric at the back so a lot of extra fabric at both the front and the back of your generic hood pattern.
