Like it could have a use for items that look really similar, but honestly it feels like the places you usually get obscure stuff (Japanese secondhand sites) also just has sellers who don't bother to figure out what it is. They'll just sell it as Victorian Maiden dress, JetJ book skirt, AP OP, etc. So knowing the name doesn't matter too much as long as you know what it looks like. Not saying names aren't a good bonus, they just aren't key.

For me, the emotional value of it is beyond the usual "reasonable" price of holy grail dresses because it is quite literally the dress that got me into lolita. When I was an awkward 13 yo weeb I thought lolita only existed in art and overpriced ebay sales that are meant to be worn at prom. One day I went to an anime flea market with a friend and someone was selling a GLB. It immediately catched my eye, but I passed the table 3 times anyway because I was too shy to ask for the price and the seller looked kind of mean/pissed. Needless to say, I somehow mustered the courage and bought it. On the way home my friend and me looked through the bible and I was absolutely in awe, especially when I saw the big one page snap of Shantung OP. I still remember my friend telling me that she knew I would grab it and that this look would look great on me too. And I tried so hard to play it off cool while I was stupid with excitement over the fact that people in glorious nippon dressed this way in real life. I started to see it as a fashion, a way to express myself and did my first researches based on that. Years later and lolita made my life a so much more pleasant experience and helped me face some of my fears to grow and bloom as a person. Now I have an amazing wardrobe full of memories that I might've never experienced or just forgotten if it wasn't for the dresses and outfits I connected them with. And all of that because of High Neck Shantung OP (And Fumiko wearing it so flawlessly. And GLB in general.) Sorry for the blogpost but man, I just really love lolita.
What I want to say is, it's much more than a rare, stunningly beautiful dress to me. I gladly accept your challenge, but if we end up in a bidding war, there simply is no competiton. Good luck.

I use both of those and more my dude, but I do not rely on brand tags for reasons I've already stated. They are fully functional but also full of other brands. Not every seller is a dedicated, knowledgeable lolita and so it's helpful to go into searching with at least a decent brand ID skill to find things that are consistently mislabeled.

I'm fortunately not a ding-dong so I keyword search for things by brand, english and Japanese brand name, and I also pore over the larger tags for any stragglers when I have time.

I saw the most adorable dress while in Baby the Stars Shine Bright last fall. I didn't buy it right then and it has haunted me ever since. I tried to find the name of the print on Lolibrary, Lacemarket, and BtssB's website to no avail. I'm hoping that if I just describe it thoroughly here, someone might be able to help me.

The print was very similar to this dress, almost identical really, but only had bears and no people. (Possibly squirrels too?) It for sure came in black and white/off-white, not certain of any other colorways. The print was in oval frames just as it is here, but the falling details were red. (I think they were berries/apples?) IIRC the print had an overall fall or Halloween theme. I can't find it by searching for Kumya/Usakumya but I know it had the teddy bears on it.

Adoration for a thousand years to anyone who can decipher these ramblings and tell me the name of the print. I NEED IT.
