anyone have any search term suggestions or shops for fat cosplayers? whenever i search for cos+ whatever "plus size" term i always get like 1 or 2 results but ive seen random shops with stuff that is either custom OR goes to a huge size

I want to order a cosplay but it won't be ready until the end of May. If I have it shipped via EMS what is the likelihood that it will arrive in Los Angeles before July? I have only ever used SAL before

That's fine with EMS. EMS has, lately, been shipping very fast to CA in general.

I'm in the Bay Area. I had two packages shipped EMS and I got one package in 2 days and my other in 3 days. It only will be delayed if you have something questionable in your package.

check the spreadsheet for the shops that do custom sizing. some of them are labeled but there's a few in there that do custom sizing that aren't labeled. i haven't figured out a search term for custom sizing yet, so you'll just have to check each store to see if they do it.

I've since taken it apart it reconstructed it as the cap was a touch too small and the hair looks different now after I deep con'd it but just from experience remember that you get what you paid for, especially if you're ordering non-remy hair.

In it's original state, the hair's pretty soft and the wig is constructed well enough. It's pretty much a 360 wig as the lace goes all around but by god does this damn thing shed! I want to say it's because the tracks are single wefted so the hair isn't that secure. Also it's 130% density but it's thin. I now see that they're offering it in a 150% density and virgin hair so there's that.

I've also had a good experience hair wise with Gossip. I can't tell you how there are communication wise as it was my mum who originally ordered the wig but I don't remember her complaining about them. I got her 360 curly wig, the hair was good, minimal shedding, etc. Too bad my sister stole the wig. I'm still mad about that lol.

I'm currently setting up an order with taobaoring and one of the items is a prop (it's a staff, about a meter in length).
They told me that they'd have to send it in a package separate to everything else, which I found reasonable. However they went on to say that if it breaks on the way to me then it's on us and they won't take responsibility.

Is this normal or even acceptable? I order things from Amiami - who order things in from third parties, and if anything was broken while being shipped to me they just ask for details and look to replace the item or reimburse you.

Once I even had the box sent back to them and they checked it again when it returned and they found something was damaged either on the way over or back due to customs and refunded me before I even had a chance to pay for the second lot of shipping.

Anyone else had a scenario like this? Any advice? I'm wondering if I should try a different SS as I've had a fair share of problems with Taobaoring in my more recent orders but I'm not sure who else comes highly recommended especially with items which are not clothing.

I have a question. I ordered from Taobao to ship to the US. Does shipping include the tracking number to track the package here in the US? I believe Taobao used to include it in the past but idk if that changed. If it doesn't include the tracking number by default, how or who should I go about asking for it? How should I format my message asking for the tracking information?

The situation is that my package was attempted to be delivered but I wasn't present. Usually it is DHL who delivers my packages but the tracking information on Taobao shows that it was left at the "Nearest UPS Access Point." Thanks.

I have a problem with a preorder and want to ask for some help;

Off the top of my head, it was to be ready late April. I saw the the shop was from Tmall and therefore probably reliable. The seller delayed shipping several times, saying that it would be ready on some date - for example, Superbuy automatically asked for me in late April and was told it would be ready around the 5th of May. The last date that it was supposed to ship was the 3rd (2 days ago), but about a week ago the listing was taken down and is as you see it now. The listing had 17 reviews before it was taken down with people posting photos of their costume.

When Superbuy contacted them the other day on my behalf, they received no reply (pic related). What should I do? I don't need the costume urgently, but I have been waiting a while past when they said it would be delivered, and I do want it quite a bit. I don't mind waiting longer as long as I get it.

tl;dr: Cosplay order delayed several times past when it was supposed to be shipped. Listing taken down but is from a reputable store. Still want the costume, but not sure what to do.

The blonde one is more like a tea blonde than the goldielocks blonde pictured, nice fibres but thin AF. Also sheds easily. Picture attached is probably closer to the true color.

I just got the quote for my order to New Zealand and just about shat my pants.. Came in around 490CNY which is for 7kg

I was actually in such a fit of rage I thought about going back to my old shopping service, but comparing back to their shipping it actually worked out about 100CNY cheaper.. I apparently am just a dumbass who forgot I used to post 16kg packages that would cost near $200 just to ship..

However, for me in NZ, Taobao ONLY offers this option of shipping which I don't think is EMS as its faster, but also not DHL.. But works out at $16NZD per kg. So depending where youre from, it may be cheaper to go by a shopping service as Taobao doesn't always offer the cheaper shipping options.

The obvious thing is that warehouses charge different shipping rates, so it's entirely possible they did pick a warehouse that was more expensive then their usual SS, for whatever reason. One of the warehouse options for my country used to be double the rate for the other warehouse (but it was also the most reliable warehouse), so that particular warehouse cost would have been very close to using a SS.

The other is that SS tend to repack, I've received packages where the accessories and trinkets I ordered from different shops were packed into handbags from a different shop. Whereas when I ordered a hard wicker case from taobao it was a cardboard box containing a wicker case containing nothing, so I basically paid shipping for a nearly empty box. If you buy a lot of fancy containers, or a lot of little things from various stores, you can end up shipping a lot of mosly-empty boxes, so the (volumetric) weight can be rather higher than it would be if you were using an SS who would pack your smaller things into other things to reduce the volumetric weight.

And the third is most SS ask for payment in multiple parts, so when you make an order, along with the price of the item, you've already paid SS fees on those items. Then the shipping afterwards seems much lower. Whereas when you make an order through taobao, the first payment is purely to the store, and then the final payment is actually the warehouse' shipping fee + handling charges + storage fees all at once. Some folks might just lose track that they already paid additional 5% for all their items going through an SS, and then only notice that the warehouse's final payment seems more expensive than an SS's final payment. It's just a perception error at that point but it doesn't stop them from saying shipping is expensive, because they expected the final payment to be less than what they usually pay.

Some do not. You can add to cart but you try to pay some items will simply be listed as "this item won't ship to the warehouse". Nail and resin accessories are a pita to sort through.

Plus you cannot ship batteries, liquids and powder.

The warehouse does not open any parcels. They're not supposed to. If something is missing you take it up with the taobao seller and request a refund for whatever is missing/wrong.

The warehouses charge by weight, rmbxx per kg. So if you can guess the weight of the item, you can guess the shipping.

I've only used the warehouses for a couple of years now, but they do have their issues. Anything off 2.taobao.com I'd still use a shopping service, and anything nail-related I'd just use Aliexpress.

Taobao age wont accept low value orders, they've told me the minimum is 100. I know the items I need are low value because it's literally only 2 items since taobao forwarding service is rejecting them. Which service is going to be good for a shitty 70 yuan order? I can't find the same things on ali or ebay.
