I really don't like labels, that's why I like girly style threads. People make up rules for larme, yumekawa and otome kei. But here you can post cute coords without worrying it doesn't look mismatched enough or the make-up is too colourful.

Take a look at how you spend your time and begin with building a wardrobe you can wear at your biggest time sink. If you are in school, you may be able to wear lolita if it fits your dress code. If you work in an office, you likely can’t but could wear office appropriate “casual” cute outfits.

For example, I have a dull 9-5 so the bulk of my effort and money at the beginning went into getting clothing I can wear to work. After that, I built up casual lolita and himekaji pieces I can wear in my spare time and now after all that I’ve been focusing on my meet-up and special occasion wear.

That’s not to say you can’t buy anything that doesn’t fit in your main focus wardrobe, but it helps to prioritize what you have time to enjoy most
