I actually want to start a j-fashion roomwear company. I'll let lurk this thread hard to get ideas. I'm seeing a lot of solid nightgowns with bloomers and cute details, so I'll probably do something like that for my next design.

Damn i love cute roomwear, it's my weakness. The best way to feel cute when you're someone who never rarely leaves the house.

They have a physical shop with accessories and stuff but those pics are pretty old

does anyone know of any companies which make more... classic style sleepwear? i know there's victorian/edwardian reproduction nighties and sleepshirts and whatnot, but i was wondering if anyone here also preferred this style. i would absolutely get a nice repro sleepshirt and some soft bloomers to sleep in, but i feel like i can't justify it as opposed to throwing on a ratty t-shirt and men's boxer briefs.
maybe i just need to convince myself it's worth it to feel elegant even if no one is going to see it.

also, if you are more gothic or classic, consignment shops often have lovely nightie + peignoir sets in nice condition. i snagged myself a lacy black peignoir + a nightgown that were probably from the '50s but were designed in a neo victorian style. i love wearing it to feel like an indulgent and sultry apparition haunting my house.

If you wear lolita you must already have bloomers. I sometimes wear my Victorian Maiden ones which are a bit long for my lolita style, and I use a tanktop with lace to go with it.

Seconding this. If there are any antique/thrift stores that have a selection of vintage clothing near you that is often a good bet. I own a few pairs of vintage bloomers and lacy top + shorts sets and they're very comfortable to sleep in and super cute. You can justify it because you get the nice boost of confidence from wearing lolita whilst lounging around at home, it's really nice to feel cute even if it's just for yourself!

my goal is to live a life that is completely kawaii. cute outfits, cute roomwear, cute pajamas. all i wear to bed are old tshirts and leggings and i feel like such a fake when i take off my cute clothing and change into them.
