I don’t think African American cosplayers should cosplay um lighter skinned characters. I know /r/unpopularopinion but if it’s racist for a white dude to do blackface it should be the same the other way around.

Simply cosplaying as a character isn't racist for example if a kid wore the static shock clothes that wouldn't be racist. What would be racist is if a black kid were to cover his face in white make up same with if a white kid were to do the same.
