I will be there. Going to stay with 5 or 6 other people in a hotel, so that'll be fun.

Anyone know what I can do about parking? I need somewhere I can park overnight that is preferable $10 or less a day and somewhat close to the con.

Any of you gulls live nearby and got a place I can park for free for the weekend?

My boyfriend wants to go to Momocon so I'm thinking about surprising him with badges this year and offering to cover the hotel fee.
Is the hotel the con is held at the best place around to stay at?

Still need to get my ticket and finish up a costume or two and touch ups on others, but I'll be cosplaying Persona, Berserk, MGS, Kingdom Hearts, and Akatsuki no Yona mainly with two other costumes from other series up in the air.

That's a straight up impossibility to find in downtown Atlanta, sadly. You may be best off parking in one of the free or very low-fee Marta lots and then just riding that up to the con with your stuff, that's what I'd do.

Definitely worth staying at the Omni, I love not having to step a foot outside onto the street all weekend for anything but photoshoots.

The cons in 2 months, it's not that early.

I'm still debating. I started doing Okabe from Steins;gate. I'll probably resort to my tried and true Sigma cosplay, but I'll actually get a jumpsuit and paint that up. I still want to partner up with a phi one year. Sadly very few people do Zero Escape.

The Gulch should still be available. I parked there for $5 a day last year.

Gulch doesn't allow overnight parking they say. I'm not sure how much they enforce it though.

Hell when I used parking panda, the pass was from 6am to 6pm. My logic is just put the one for today beside the one for tomorrow.

If you want to go to panels or anythingbyeah, if you just wanna hit up photoshoots and hang out with cosplayers you could definitely just hang out in the little quad outside the convention center though, that seems to become the main social spot.

Must? No. But its definitely a better time and less frustration. They badge check at the top of the escalators and halls inside the center. If you don't get a badge, you can sit around at the food court at the CNN center and that's about it.

Specifically there's the Aquarium event, but I've never been so I can't really tell you how it is. Momocon's website also has nearby attractions iirc, so there's usually stuff to do pre-con. The park has good, usually hidden spots for photoshoots if that's your thing!

The aquarium event is actually a REAL good deal, would highly recommend. During the same timeframe as costume contest this year tho.

Also would recommend the amv contest, big local community for it and a great group of people run it.
