If by ‘more entertaining’ you mean you preferred watching her over the stage and pose for her entire skit rather than watch something with an actual storyline, then yeah, sure buddy. Nothing against her, but desu after the first few laps of the stage, I was pretty bored. Her costume was better than the Overlord ones, but I’m pretty sure her skit let her down - you can’t have a character with literally zero personality (aka a Gundam figurine) and expect to do anything more than what she did.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think it’s also a bit tasteless to enter a sponsored costume into a competition. That’s kind of already starting with an unfair advantage over the other contestants by having all your supplies already paid for.

I’m sure the judges had pretty solid reasons in the end for their decisions. Two are international cosplayers, and the other two seem to know their stuff as well, considering they were past winners too and are WCS reps.

If it is well known that an admin has been doing some stupid things, and then proceeds to do another stupid thing regardless of everyone around them saying not to, and supporting the person the admin is causing shit about. That admin should probably pay attention and realize their mistake.

Same as we would expect a cosplayer or photographer to step forwards and accept responsibility and blame for their actions, admins and mods should be held to the same standards. If not more so.

In conclusion, no one is listening to the community because admins are power tripping, and politicizing everything and everyone.

Careful who you talk bad about. Sure they’re two-faced, power-tripping, hypocritical shit stirrers but unless you’re actually willing to leave the group and/or block them they can, and will drown you in their over-inflated ego.

Sometimes being a dick is ok since being civil is never enough with sorting this matter out. Some of the Stelluna girls are really nice, but only about two of them are good at dancing, and only about three of them know how to sew. It was disappointing to see them at Madfest because they looked so fucking dead on stage, and their Yoshiko looked pissed off the whole time, it just ruined all the hard work of the three people who do anything in their group.

The Hanamaru was really good at Madfest, she had a lot of energy. I also think the Ruby is good too, but I find it more appealing when the dancers smile and look happy rather than being in time with each other, so I guess my standards for dancing is low.

From what I can tell, Stelluna are Love Live fans who want to be just like the girls in LL (I think Stelluna prefers Love Live Sunshine specifically?). KCDC is a Kpop dance crew who occasionally dabble in jpop/anime stuff too.

As for a rivalry between them, I honestly don't know why there would be one, other than elitism and snobbery. Either way I'm not sure if any of them are professionally trained. Would like to hear if anyone knows otherwise.

rofl XD. Short answer: not really. Long answer: There are lots of guy solo cosplayers who team up every now and then but normally guys are involved in multi-gender groups. I don't think I've EVER seen a large (4+) group of male only cosplayers (not including females crossplaying).
as for being ably to avoid the drama? The answer is: Find a bigger city, and move there. The only times I've known people who were able to avoid the drama was because they dropped out of the community/left. Even then it doesn't guarantee them not getting sucked back in (or rejoining of their own volition. Gossip is juicy.)
