There's plenty of ways to do casual lolita, but this doesn't seem like a good example. Also the lace-topped OTKs don't really go. At all. The bunny bag isn't on theme, but it's casual so it's not the biggest deal.

Again, casual doesn't need to be matchy matchy, but it does need to be good. Plain black tights would have worked better if she's going to make everything else black. And less hobo shoes, for want of a better word.

Hey, person in coord here - super open to crit as there's always room to improve. Shirt is actually attached image from Jane Marple, it just photographs extremely poorly since it's a black design on black. I tucked it in because I felt it looked frumpy out, but maybe that was a mistake overall. The theme for my outfit was the moon rabbit (moon in print + necklace, rabbit shirt + bag) but since it was just casual I didn't want to overaccessorize or anything but it does make the theme hard to figure out. Often lolitas that don't have a petti/blouse are beginners that don't really understand the aesthetic of the fashion or think that pettis are just "extra". The problem with crit on cgl is that like 95% of it is purely subjective and gulls outright refuse to acknowledge that. Just because you happen to not like a coord or you have some ideas how to make it better doesn’t automatically mean the coord is bad. Firstly, it should take just one attempt to see if the person asking for crit is genuinely asking for useful advice, or is just fishing for compliments. If you see that it's the latter case, write them off as a lost cause and move on with your life. If they were unable/unwilling to take your crit after they "asked" for it - it's on them.
