Long(er) Answer: Whilst there is certainly an argument to be made against costhots. The idea that all attractive girls are instantly in it for the money and can't possibly be real nerds/members of the community immediatly sounds like the words of a fat beta who can't get the attention of said girls. Or that they have zero understanding of how to act approrpiatly in social situations involving any females.

Wrong. Cosplay is literally just fans of a franchise or media dressing up as characters. Men can do it, women can do it, children can do it, animals can do it. It involves the skills of sewing, knowing how to use makeup, discerning good wigs from bad, sometimes armor-crafting (depending on characters) and other craftwork, photography and even acting. It's been around for a very, very long time and has always been integral to fandoms. The fact that he'd try to dump on an entire hobby because of thotplayers that are even reviled in the community is hilarious.

The funny thing is that it's exactly his type of people supporting the thotplayer bubble, not others in the cosplay community. The betas and paypigs are all these non-cosplaying "fans", often "gamers", who are thirsty enough to throw money at any woman with big tiddies. It certainly isn't a culture of cosplayers supporting other cosplayers on Patreon, it's all these fanboys who can't help but waste all their money on softcore porn of their waifu.
His ilk are the problem for infiltrating the community to sniff out the "sluts" and deliberately back their attention-whoring ways. "His people" are the cancer that helped thotplayers grow, and now that it's at critical mass, he wants to claim that the entire hobby in itself is a gateway for evil sluts and REEEEE at it. Pathetic.
