On February 12, 2018, I reached out to Anime Matsuri requesting a response from someone within their communications or press department regarding the Boycott Anime Matsuri movement and past allegations against John Leigh. I sent a follow-up email on Tuesday afternoon requesting a response from someone within the press department but have yet to receive a response.

That's pretty much it, as I am a Houstonian myself. Aside from AM's retarded fanboys, the only reason that a few people I know from around here are going is because they can't get a refund for their pass and/or their hotel room, since I know some paid for hotel with debit. There's lots of cosplayers around Houston that have only *JUST* heard of the AM debacle mainly because they're not in the lolita community, and some don't even use social media much at all. These are people I can forgive, and I think that the boycott community should be more forgiving to, as a word of advice.

I think I know and have heard of about a hundred people on my friends list that say this is their absolute last AM for the above reasons, and refuse to spend any extra money that'll go toward the Leighs. And I know even more people who aren't going in the first place, or have just decided not to attend because of the Overwatch and/or Steven Universe voice actors not attending.

For those I know who aren't attending that also bought passes, a good majority of them are holding onto those passes in order to not encourage anyone else to go. Their money is gone, which is unfortunate for them and in general, but at least they're preventing more money from going towards the convention scamming more attendees and guests.
