If it isn't somehow related to Goth rock, it isn't Goth, and most sensible Goths know that Gothic Lolita is Lolita with Gothic (not necessarily Goth!) aesthetic. I know some Gothic Lolitas have worn pikes and back-combed hair, but the majority go for a more Mana/MmM aesthetic, which is Gothic, but isn't necessarily all that Goth.

As such, Pastel Goth should probably be called creepy-cute, and not 'Goth' because it's got nothing to do with the subculture (not because it's from Japan; there's plenty of Goth bands and Goth things from Japan) and Gothic Lolita shouldn't be considered Goth for the same reason. People who consider either Goth need a reminder on what Goth is, and that Gothic =/= Goth. Like, so many metal bands have a Gothic aesthetic, sing about Gothic themes, etc. but that doesn't make them Goth, and there's a whole bunch of Gothic stuff from before Goth even existed...

I listen to a lot of bands that are considered tr00 goff (or postpunk, whatever) but not exclusively and I don’t dress all spoopy all the time, and that means I was regularly approached by people lecturing me on why I wasn’t a proper goth. I'm currently on a deficit because I was so upset about maxing out the shirring on standard AP JSKs, it's been 5 months and 20+ lbs gone, and I only have 20 left to lose. I was consistently 40 lbs overweight and I didn't think much of it until a Chinese XL didn't fit. I thought I was stuck being fat, since I mostly ate clean, treated myself to carbs here and there, and didn't think much of my diet. The rest of my family ate the same things, so it was fine, right?
Wrong. I looked at how many calories I was eating and it was... not good. "Snack" foods were ruining me. Two tiny potatoes is a serving according to the potato bag. I was eating way too much of the wrong stuff, all I had to do was swap it out for better stuff, like hummus instead of PB on celery, and make sure I knew what a portion of something meant, like having smaller chicken breasts and loading up on veggies. So, my lazy ass lost weight just by swapping out foods. Tea also helps.
If I could give any advice for the fatty-chans, eat, have your dessert, but be aware of what you're giving your body. Moderation doesn't mean a different chip flavour every day.

I personally just cut out a lot of carbs but honestly a little more lax then actual keto diets, portion control myself, and started watching tv and using a stationary bike at the same time. I'm not losing as much weight as fast as y'all but last time I did I got super sick for a long time. I'm with you on that sentiment, but there's a line between not being smol and cute, and being so fat you have to sew your own clothes, never look good, require two airline tickets, can't fit into doorways, have to be careful in narrower shops, always have body pains, have higher risk of dying early, etc etc. At that point I have to wonder if you're actually enjoying your life when you're paying for that hamburger with inconveniences in all other areas of your life, not just fashion.
