I have a friend, female, who wanted to cosplay 2B but decided to do 9S because of too revealing etc.

I had initially wanted to make a 9S cosplay but now that shes doing it, I was wondering if I could get away with a male 2B?

I know it would be pretty weird since im not a good trap and would definitely be seen as a man in a female costume, but it could be really fun to build a matching costume with my friend and I kind of want to do the character who I really like.

My question is, would people look at me like an absolute creeper at a con? And also, would it just look super horrible even if I had a good costume?

You would surely look like a creep in a female dress. So it would be better just to make genderbend version. There are plently of arts with male 2b. Just switch tights to pants, alter upper part to something like cloack and you'll be fine.

Go for a genderbend version and you're good to go.

>good trap
Stop.

Trap is an exclusively 2D term.

The word you're looking for is crossdresser or transsexual, which is totally fine. If you're trans, just fucking own it and be proud, stop trying to hide behind this "I'm a trap cute girl (male)" bullshit. You're ultimately being more dishonest to yourself than others with this line of thinking.

Would it be a good laugh like man-Faye and his hairy ass? Then yes do normal 2b if not do a genderbend

Have you never been to a con before? Dressing as a character of the opposite gender is called crossplay. A lot of people do it, both seriously and humorously.

Yeah it really depends if it's supposed to be funny or not.

This is probably bait, but I mean as long as you're not actually a creeper, who gives a shit what random con attendees think of you? If you want to go as 2B, go as 2B.

>> No.9730925

Just go as 9S or a male unit

but then there will be two 9S which is kind of the problem in the first place

You'll be 7S. They're mass produced robots.

Actually now that I think about it's that's a good idea. Look at the variation of designs between the female Yorha models. Use some creativity and do that for another S unit.

Normally I'd say hell no but if you're going to be chilling with someone crossplaying 9S then it might be worth a shot.

Since this is kind of a nier thread-
For anyone who has cosplayed 2B did you tense/flex your butt for photos or not care? Seriously not trying to be weird, just trying to figure out which would be better during posing.

Also did you only single tie the blindfold or wrap it around twice? The artbook shows it tied from behind but I haven't seen a lot of cosplayers with the bow in the back.

>> No.9738013

>>9736042
I wrap it around twice like in the game before I put my wig on and then cover the bow in the back with the wig

trap is not a 2D term. You can be a trap without crossdressing or being trans. Stop being stupid.

trap was the term used for 2D characters who looked one gender but were the opposite. New-type was used for transgendered people in Japan and used more for real life than 2D.
It shouldn't be a 3D term. Sounds like an easy way to get people angry anymore with all the new terms the trans community prefers.

Also how can you be a trap if you're not cross dressing?
A girl can't be a trap girl, nor a boy a trap boy. That's not how traps work.

>trap was the term used for 2D characters who looked one gender but were the opposite.
yes, that is where is originated, but it can be applied to real people too.

> Sounds like an easy way to get people angry anymore with all the new terms the trans community prefers.

They are already always angry.

>Also how can you be a trap if you're not cross dressing?

Just a haircut, glasses, and a little makeup can make a lot of people look at the very least androgynous.
A trap is trying to look like the opposite sex wearing whatever, think cosplay, while a cross dresser is just wearing the opposite sex's clothing, not specifically trying to look like the opposite sex.

This, if you’re really that opposed to Adam and Eve it’s as easy as having matching outfits with a differently colored/slightly differently styled wig.
