Maybe I'm just lucky but I have had really great second hand experience. There has only been one seller I felt slightly icky about [the dress was not stained, but it came with some sort of animal hairs all over it and looking back at some of her other auctions I can tell she was/is a somewhat dirty girl, but whatever, I can wash clothing and it wasn't stained and didn't smell nasty or have undisclosed damage). Pretty much all of my purchases this year have been second hand and at times I have been blown away by the quality and how well the items have been despite their age (it's all oldschool brand).

I'd never sell anything I didn't wash beforehand though. I can't even imagine what goes through people's heads thinking it's okay to sell really nasty stuff. Especially when You see something that wasn't taken care of at all and is dirty as fuck but they still want 300 dollars for it. lmao.

If you mean toned down menhera, you can look in any of the past threads to find an example. Here's one. Most the style is just a shirt, leg wear, nice shoes, and a couple accessories. Maybe a skirt if it's not just the top worn alone. The makeup is usually simple too.

There's some OTT stuff, but even then it's mostly bright colors paired with a few statement accessories. It doesn't really resemble decora or that one fashion style with the really crazy makeup of which I can't remember the name (Shi-something-or-another, I know it starts with 'S').
