Honestly? It sort of looks like hot garbage. It doesn't capture the enchanted but less strict on the rules charm that old school often does. This just looks like something else entirely.

I agree that the west can get to caught up in the rules but this is just like a really shitty knockoff that misses the point of the original

Sorta cute but bad name, unless it's aiming for the other kind it's not anymore lolita than half the dresses in hot topic or on taobao. Most of the examples anons post don't seem to be wearing any lolita items at all unlike unlike Daily Ala Mode. Imo even "soft lolita" would've fit better instead. It gives the feeling of "almost lolita" instead of trying to be "new lolita." But it's not like what anyone says on cgl will change that. My fault for not being clear enough. As I said "most of the examples anons post" as in all the threads we've had on cgl about it.

Even ignoring that though besides the ops and Jsks in the first two examples all I see is an Innocent World(?) blouse. The last two are most definitely not lolita dresses and 3rd last is very questionable. I don't consider things like socks, shoes, or accessories other than oldschool headdresses to be lolita specific to be clear.

If you can't even tell the difference between larme/general girly j-fashion and lolita you're nowhere near being able to bend the rules and have a decent even vaguely lolita coord. That's the entire reason they exist in the first place. So you figure out what lolita consists of and get a basic understanding of what looks good. "Lolita inspired" is fine, but if you're getting told it isn't lolita at all it most likely isn't instead lolitas being "obsessed" with rules,

That's just your opinion then. Based on the examples posted from Kera, neo lolita uses burando accessories, and is not trying to fit in or be a new version of lolita fashion as we know it. How is that lolita items if you get anywhere though? Something like a lolita appropiate circle skirt I can see, but what's so lolita about mary janes and bows? Both have existed for decades before lolita in and out of Japan. What difference does a head bow or a pair socks being precious burando? They're obviously being sarcastic. Also that was another anon who explicitly stated they're another anon and weren't meaning it to be neo-lolita.

The title of the thread is neo lolita, I posted neo lolita, how is that unclear? someone started posting goth stuff and then people started arguing, I just came back to this shitshow.

Because there's no definition and seemingly random examples. Neo-lolita has been posted about multiple times and very few anons have ever mentioned a magazine or tag as the basis. Just RinRin and the "concept." Literally all you have to do is say looks from __ magazine or from __ tag and no matter how conflicting or unheard of it is people can actually contribute. If you want to people to "educate themselves" you can't act like a tumblr sjw and insult people until they magically give you what you want.

>claim it looks like otome, which is not a thing unless you meant RPG

Okay, I'll be more clear. I posted the first image dump and the deleted reply of >>9647794. Then I started to read the thread and decided it has gone to shit. I don't think it can be saved by saying I meant coords from neo lolita tags and photoshoots.

So you're a completely different person than the one that's being arguing and calling everyone autstic? Yeah then my reply doesn't apply anywhere near as much as before. My point is if you were there from the beginning simply stating you didn't mean no rules literally and posting the tag most likely would've resulted in a completely different thread. People aren't going to respond kindly or want to help a thread when the OP did what that other person did.
