I will totally concede that the quality isn't there, but if anything this is a "really bad attempt" at Lolita, but it still shows she fundamentally understands many of the principles.

It's a very unusual (ugly) color, the lace top is too revealing, the lace at the hem is just the same all-over lace, the lace is very colorful and matches nothing in the outfit, the dress is a sack cut meant to be worn without a petti, the ruffle is too wide and not gathered enough, the arms and head are bare, and the socks make her ankles disappear.

She has potential, but the outfit does not.

That dress is an absolute tacky mess in quality, design, colors, fabric, and everything else. It's not lolita by any means, and shoving a petticoat under it doesn't suddenly make it appropriate for the style. As a normie bridesmaid dress, it's still hideous, but instead of making a fuss and wearing a petti and gold shoes, she could just wear it normally, with pumps that match the red flowers, no socks, and maybe a simple floral hairpin. A wedding is about the people getting married, not a fashion show.

I agree that you don't have to make everything you wear lolita or have to post it, but that doesn't mean you can't give you own little twist to things and have to go minimalistic instead (for as fare as an bridesmaid dresses can be minimalistic). Unless your bride really doesn't want it, which is clearly not the case here.
