9606112 No.9606112 [Reply] [Original]

Hi anons. I'm the creator of the lolita youtubers spreadsheet, and it has been VERY stagnant over the past year.

I have some time now to add to it, but when looking at it there's no way to sort and it's all a bit of a mess, so I'm revamping the whole thing .

Please can you let me know if there's anything you want me to add to it to improve it, or any new youtubers that you'd like added to it.

Anyway - please use the old one for the time being and also woo new thread to discuss lolita youtubers.

Also feel free to selfpost in this thread, and here's some questions:

>Who have you been watching lately?
>Are there any specific videos you'd like to see ?
>Do you prefer short snappy energetic videos, or long calm videos?

And here's the lolita youtubers spreadsheet

The way you've ranked those is pretty weird, but w/e.

Looking through my own subscriptions, you're missing Tallulah Bee, Gravelvet, Mims Lang, Vanilla Bear, Acchirin and Victorianme. Could add channels like Kawaii Pateen too.

I like videos to be shorter for the most part, I think a lot of lolita youtubers fall down on editing. For meetup vids for example, seeing the meets of a strange comm can be interesting and fun if they're 2-5 minutes long, but I'm not going to watch a 10-20-minute vid of people I don't know. I like 10-15-minute discussion videos but most 20-minute ons are bulked out with hesitation and filler.

Have you updated the active/inactive section recently? It'd be nice to check out active lolita youtubers but there are so many in the list.

I'd like to add Alice's Adventures (https://www.youtube.com/user/hellomochiii)) and Winniko (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ_Hq4TN6o8xVcevQpGY5Zg))

I've revised the way I rate videos. Still with a 5-star system but I've simplified it and made it more objective.

Every channel starts off with 5 stars

Stars will be deducted for the following:
>1) Poor quality content - majority of videos are hard to watch because the video was not planned well, or long breaks in between uploads.
>2) Poorly Dressed when wearing lolita - constantly dressing "ita", or not wearing lolita at all for the majority of their lolita-based videos
>3) Bad quality videos - poor lighting, camera quality, background or other factors making it hard to watch
>4)Inactivity (>4 months) - have not posted a video in over 4 months

The minimum a channel can therefore get is one star

How does this seem anons?

>>9606120
I'm making it so inactive and active channels will be completely separated on two different sheets. I was also feeling overwhelmed by the amount of channels on the active list - so I'm breaking it down and sorting them into categories which will all be on separate sheets.

Also I will add the channels you have asked for.

>> No.9606162

The star rating thing is a nice touch but kind of a waste of time, people will just go on the channel and see if its shit for themselves.

I tried watching TB again and my god it's as annoying as ever.

I don't even know why I'm annoyed, because I do something similar with dresses I'm on the fence about. But she's always so vague and nondescript with specific reasons as to why she's going to cull/not cull them, and it usually boils down to "well it was rare so I'm going to keep it." But it viscerally irritates me, and by the end I am far from calmed down. Maybe it's her voice. I don't know.

Anyone else do decluttering videos who is not as annoying as her? I'd like to start thinking about decluttering my own collection and I do generally like makeup decluttering videos already, so it'd be nice to apply that to lolita.

I don't have a very nice camera but I do have mid tier studio equipment. The only other podcast for Lolita I've seen died after a moderate while but it seemed to enjoy modest success. The only downside is doing it alone, which means I'd be talking to myself, usually a big nono in podcasting. Guests would of course be invited frequently.
