This is what people keep saying about that one kuragehime dress as well, these things just aren't popular outside of that small tiny handful of fans who got into the fashion too late and missed the release.

I'm going to guess the resurge in popularity is simply newbies who weren't around when IW made the release. And yes, not only did it make it into luckypacks, girls who received them complained and put them up for sale.

I don't see anything wrong with having unpopular weeb dresses as your dream dress, but please no more of that militant abloobloo nonsense like the kuragehime crowd pulled. It's not a popular dress, just accept that, and maybe post a wtb so whoever still has one somewhere will sell it to you instead of whatever people do with dresses they don't particularly like.

I only want the top row of L size because of bust size. I've owed two of those cuts. There's no shirring and while it's nice in the waist it's incredibly snug in the bust and was ultimately too painful to wear.

Melty Ribbon has shirring and I could use either the M or L, doesn't matter. Choco Rosette has shirring as well.

Even if L-size doesn't fit I'm okay with selling. Lolita's become a bigger market than it ever was before and you learn a lot of tricks to fitting through the years.

Not true. Rose Stained Glass is an older piece though, and it came out when IW earned its reputation for bodices that look ugly as fuck on anyone with a discernible bust.

What does that have to do with anything though? All I did was point out that the particular IW JSK in your wishlist probably won't fit if you need the large size in any of the pieces you specified. I'm not trying to burn your burando anon, just making an observation.

And IW's straight bodices are still awful now? I don't think the regular waist cut have changed much since Rose Stained Glass, besides maybe adjustable straps being a bit longer than on older dresses. Straight posture and proper undergarments helps IW immensely.

I'm have owned mostly IW since starting lolita, from 2007 pieces, so I know how wonky their stuff can be. If Rose Stained Glass is really the exception to IW's usual business and is completely unalterable, I'm okay with selling it after. I won't know until I have it myself.

AP Chocolate L-size measures 96-98cm max, the same max as most of IW's listed shirring. I just asking for that extra 2-3 cm of room. Not trying to sound confrontational either... it's just kinda common sense if you've been in lolita long enough?

This was my issue. When I first was into lolita, it was because of Rozen Maiden. I was 15, so I had no money.
When IW released their collab, I was a poor college student with no money.
Now I have a solid career and money, so im playing catch up. Ive gotten 14 main pieces in the last 2 years.

Man, you have my sympathies. The popular dresses are easier to get, because people buy them on impulse and quickly sell them again, but the unpopular ones can be difficult to find because people don't even bother listing them for sale. And the unpopular dresses from anime collabs are almost like rare unicorns, especially the funkier they are, the harder it seems to find them at all.

I'd suggest you post WTBs to try and show that you're actually interested in acquiring this dress and hope that someone who doesn't want theirs will see it and sell it to you.

Other suggestion is to keep an eye on some otaku places, for eg Mandarake carries both secondhand otaku and lolita stuff. They had a fair handful of IW RM stuff for the last couple of years, there's always a chance a collector out there sells their collection to Mandarake and it contains one of the RM dresses.

I've settled for skirts for all the wishlist prints I own. No regrets, I got the color ways I wanted of 3 of the 4 prints I own, they were cheaper than the JSK versions (sub $200 rather than $400+ that most the JSK versions go for), and they have a baffling array of coordinating opportunities. For me personally compromise has worked out pretty well but your mileage may vary of course. Not sure if it would go so well with a top tier dream dress though.

Some things are just rare and collectible, and the age just adds value as they get older and more scarce. Of course there are many dime-a-dozen dresses that are overpriced on LM, but there are many 10year+ dresses that can got for hundreds of dollars easy due to the rarity and collectors factor.

Hello /cgl/ with Otakon coming around the corner I figure I try an experiment.

I'll be flat out, I'm a richfag, I live in D.C and I'm going to Otakon. I'm looking for two (or at least one) /cgl/ girls to accompany me cosplaying as Vanilla or Chocolate from Neko Para. I have a suite booked at Marriott nearby the convention center in Chinatown where Otakon is being held. I'm willing to pay for for airfare, convention passes, Hotel room from Thursday for three nights, food and other expenses up to $15,000, dealers rooms swag, ect. This should be like a

My requirements are pretty strict however.

1. You must be able to cosplay as Vanilla or Chocolate for one of the days of the con. Again I'm willing to spare no expense on clothing and materials.
2. No less than DD cups. Figure should be proportional, sorry I'm not flexible on this criteria. I will ask for proof on this.
3.Said person(s) should be like my GF, and yes that does mean sex, Cosplaysex too. But also roleplaying as the maids from the nekopara series and me as the master.

It did, I've been watching HC since 2013 and bought two JSKs ever since and it has never been not expensive (aside from pink sometimes). It was just a couple of times girls on mercari sold it for 13,000 yen, but it was gone super fast. It seems in Japan the craze isn't that big.

I don't want to give newbs ideas to start looking at "my" DD.

Usually, I generously overestimate the price and add another 50% on top. A horror scenario for me is being able to afford the auction price, but not the SS fee or the shipping fee. Not really sure what I'd do if the DD is still above that value, which is a possible scenario given one of my last remaining DD is a less frequently seen dress, so I'm not sure what it goes for now.

I've posted links on the thread in the past, but I also find the newbies arguing back annoying. Especially the ones that insist it's their right to post a random collage just to feel like they belong. If it's any consolation there isn't a huge difference between IW M and L sizes. In my experience it's mostly just in the shoulders and sleeve/bodice lengths, the bust and waist are usually just barely larger.

God Bless Wunderwelt. After not getting the JSK I wanted on the IW sale I had a little extra cash and they just posted another 1000 off coupon. I ended up getting pic related, which had been a dream item for a while and was a great substitute for what I didn't get from IW (both are double-breasted military style JSKs). I love all colorways of this JSK; if it ends up looking as nice as I hope it will then I'll likely start hunting for the olive drab version.

I disagree, I had the suiseiseki op in L and had to sell it because the fit was bizarre. The waist was too big and the waist ties didn't help ( the crossed parts of the skirt were droopy right below the waist since I didn't fill out the bottom of the bodice right), and the sleeves were too tight. So if Anon has a small waist she might want to wait and get the M, but be warned that it might not fit at all in either size if you're muscular because of the sleeves
