hey, I am just genuinely trying to get patreon supporters and i'd be very grateful if any of you would consider it.
If you read through my page and don't really feel like having anything to do with it, that's fine, I understand this really isn't a community for this but any support helps me :)

Why would you take a screen shot of your own photo?

>> No.9450483

I have no idea who you are and I doubt anyone else does. That's the biggest problem. Do you have an already established fanbase? What are you known for? What is your most famous cosplay? Why should people give you money? You're cute and you might get a few random backers because of that but there's no big reason to back you versus another cosplayer.

Pretty lame vendetta. Is summer here already?

It's fine to share things. Patreon is not the best choice to do it. It's a way of putting yourself out there that can easily backfire if you don't have a lot of patrons. You might want to grow organically through instagram/facebook and meeting and interacting with people in person before moving to Patreon. Only a few cosplayers can be successful on Patreon and actually make something worthwhile.

>>9450492
I don't think it's vendetta because it is at the "literally who?" level.

ahh thank you for the advice, i've been trying to grow on IG because I communicate with some well known cosplayers on there, but this business is tough

patreon-chan I'm going to give it to you straight

1) if the OP pic is the best example you have of your cosplay, you have work to do
2) never make a new thread to post yourself here, reserve it for selfpost threads because this is taboo and you're going to draw negative attention
3) you should focus more on actually cosplaying well before you think about fishing for patrons because the look you're serving atm isn't really selling me

just close this tab and do something productive that actually deserves donations

It's tough and it's definitely not fast. It's probably best to just go with the flow and do what you want to do and share your enthusiasm through your work. Being cosfamous fast is a whole different ballgame.

yes, but I can't do most looks because my body/face isnt mature enough yet. and circle lenses hurt my eyes most of the time ;; I also dont have a good camera or a lot of money (hence the patreon), i also am still in school so its hard to find time to do things. i will try harder though.

>>9450516

Do you want me to be honest? Don't cosplay. It's not a way to make money. It's a hobby and you're supposed to fund it yourself. Learn a real trade and get Patreon supporters that way.

lmao you look like an adult women, stop trying to pull the loli card. anon meant the quality of your cosplays themselves aren't good.

This is why patreon is such a negative thing nowadays. You've been cosplaying since you were eleven, but the best you got is this halfassed Miku? You only post photos of yourself and we will basicly pay for your hobby. You have nothing to offer backers, except some bad cosplay photos.. which are also found anywhere on the internet for free.

Tldr Stop being a whiny bitch and get a part-time job to support your hobby instead of leeching on others. I have worked at mcdonalds next to studying at university, just to support my hobby.

One question I always have in mind. Why do you think it is fair to have your hobby paid for by others, while others pay for it themselves??

Your face is plenty mature, sweetie.
