To be honest I don't know if I qualify as plus size or not. Last time I posted a coord pic online I got a few anons who bitched at me for using the "plus size lolita" tag because I'm not fat enough or whatever. Mostly I use that tag because while I can fit brand, it has to be at least fully back shirred due to my cowtits. Other than that, I'm pretty proportional as far as fat distribution goes, I definitely don't look as plus size as some of these girls. I don't know, it just bugs me.

Fattychan reporting, fully shirred pieces (or pieces with front shirring) will look really weird on your boobs. It creates an extremely unflattering ripple effect so watch out for that. even when the dress has been nice and roomy I get that ugly effect. I have a larger bust over 100 cm and I find that full back shirring is the most comfortable and flattering.

Just as a note, JetJ will do custom sizing.

They do charge out the ass though. My dragon dress ended up being 50k yen because I asked them to add 10cm to both bust and waist measurements. If you just need an inch added here and there it'll cost a lot less than that.

Are any other plus sized lolitas starting to get sick of seeing the "where do I buy plus size lolita?" and "brand is too small" questions and comments?

I used to be this way too many years ago when there was not many options for us, but now it's completely different. I used to like helping newbies like that realize that yes, you can fit AP! and Meta! Hell, even Innocent World and Baby once in a while. But now there is just SO many resources, so many options, all measurements are on lolibrary that I don't even bother helping. On one hand I feel like a bad plus size lolita since I should be helping out others my size, but on the other hand, being plus size is a lot more work than regular. You can't just buy the first dress you see cause it's cute. You really have to research the clothes and brands, you have to think twice when a release comes out, learn about what flatters you, etc., that like I can't be bothered to help anyone that doesn't help themselves a little first...

I can agree with this. Full shirring is actually super flattering on me, especially if the straps are elasticized as well as the dress sits on and shows my natural waist. I find that fully back shirred dresses don't quite give me a nice shape as there isn't really enough "cup space" making my torso look like a loaf.

If you find it doesn't look good on you maybe try out 3/4 shirring? they aren't as common but you where a nice bolero over it you will get a nice front detail portion and the comfort of full shirring, without showing the shirring lines.

I think a lot of that stems from the notion that the clothes are made for asian women and typically have smaller builds and more more petite. That said, to be able to fit them while also fitting me at my former size (US 8-10) and to at least be able to get on my body somewhat now at (US16) is kind of a feat.

I think the problem is that people want to be hand held. It's one thing to ask for advice or some tips as far as other's experiences (what cuts work for them, what brands they prefer) It's another to be asked all these questions that nobody can really answer except yourself, with trial and error. This is sort of how I explain it to people because it comes up often, especially when I run lolita panels at conventions.

Also it's a lot harder to trial and error these days with the 2nd hand market moving like it is. You have to sell less than you paid and let it sit until someone bites. It's not like the pre-lacemarket days where if something didn't work out for you, you can sell immediately and get most if not all your money back.

I've been wanting a reduction surgery for cosmetic reasons, ever since I found out it was a thing, really. But, I don't need more nausea in my life, and my recovery would be a lot of work for my SO. Thanks for sharing anon.

Different anon here but I had breast reduction and the nausea wasn't that bad at all. I only felt it once after I woke up from surgery and after I took one of the pain meds (there wasn't much pain, just mild discomfort). I was out of the hospital same day and had drains in for only 2 days, after that the only thing that sucked was I couldn't shower for a week. Had to change my bandages and wipe the stitches every evening with this anti-bacterial stuff. No "heavy" lifting (like 25+ lbs) for 6 weeks was the only thing my doctor told me.

I had mine done for medical reasons, but I had them take everything and leave me an AA for cosmetic (otherwise he would've left me with a B cup). I am so much happier that I got mine done.

That's something I mentioned. Just the horizontal adjustment isn't going to help except get it on a larger body. It doesn't mean it's going to look right. I think giving a little more leeway in the bust and cut for a slightly larger cup size as well as adding longer straps to adjust and a longer bodice would help tremendously without being too large for the majority of smaller western girls. There's always the very petite and small framed girls who have trouble fitting in a lot as well as very plus sized.

Helps to wear makeup to accentuate your eyes too. As your face gets bigger your eyes get smaller looking in proportion. Plumprimo seems to have been folded into regular Dream V so I recommend actually looking at the sizing for things you're interested in as you might find a surprise. Other than that I only know of indie otome brands. Still, I'm always on the hunt so if I do find stuff I can let you know?

god, I have linebacker shoulders and big boobs with no waist or hips. 112 cm bust, 85 cm waist, and 87 cm hips. Would consider breast reduction but the real problem is... not enough hips.
