Ugh, just got my invoice from the IW blouse sale like 1-2 weeks ago. I knew chances of getting all three was low but not even one? Kind of unhappy that now I'm just paying for a pair of tights and an accessory I threw in, sigh.

It's a problem with iw sales, the western side of the shop is all manual so out depends on the staff to manually update the stock.

Basically anything normal young people do? It really depends on the person. The "lolita lifestyle" mostly involves doing crafts at home and visiting cute tea shops and museums but only a small percentage restricts themselves to that sort of thing. I know plenty of girls who party all weekend, although most of them either don't wear lolita when they do it or wear something cheap that they don't have to be as careful with. Personally I really like to go camping and hiking but dress more like a basic bitch version of mori when I do so. Lolita isn't the most practical fashion.

We love doing "that sort of thing" and it's one of the reasons why we wear lolita. It's not like we think "oh today I would like to play football, but I have to restrict myself because I'm a lolita". JD sports might be worth checking, I checked sportsdirect and they had a few but they don't stock them near me and I don't want to buy online without trying them first.

They had a lot of different releases that were hits for different types of people.

- first to do actual sweet x gothic with their Tama collabs (Sweet Grave, Dark Night Hospital, that cutesy tarot print)
- 2spoopy5me ghost hands Marie Antoinette dress in JetJ style
- Kimura U collab (Necorn and some other perfume bottle (?) print)
- close copies that aren't replicas nor have the stigma of taobao burando (Fairy Night Neverland, Princess Marine, that print that looks like AP's Celestial)

I don't really think their quality is worth burando prices, and I'm not a big fan of their close copies (or Kimura U). I can see the appeal for some girls who like that it's a quirky brand that does odd things and doesn't quite fit in a well-define spot, though.

I have a 70cm underbust and 62cm waist and I fucking despise these high waisted cuts because they make me look like a pregnant blimp. Why would anyone with a nice small waist want to hide it in layers of fabric? The only people I know who prefer these cuts are fatties with a gut as big as their bust who only fit in waistless dresses with full back shirring.

Can we stop with this "lolita is ending"?

GLB and Kera lasted far longer than any publications of that type should have. Paris BTSSB had a lot to do with poor location, how difficult it is to profit there, and high rent. IW in Harajuku is sadly no longer anything like the j-fashion spot it once was and the rent also rose. It's just certain paper mediums and high rent areas not being profitable. It has little to do with taobao.

>I can't read faces or understand people trying to give me hints.
It really depends on the comm since some have very friendly admins and some have bitchy/gossipy admins, but if you have a friendly admin, it might be worth mentioning to her (but nobody else) that you have aspergers. You don't want to be that person who tells everyone you're an autist when you meet them, but being upfront with at least one person can help avoid awkward situations. In my first comm I said something along the lines of "I have aspergers, I try not to mention it around most people because I'm usually fine in normal conversation but sometimes I don't realise I'm speaking too loud - if you notice, please just tell me! I won't be offended at all."

A lot of the time, people don't want to seem rude so they won't say it to your face if you're acting weird, but if you're embarrassing the group they'll end up gossiping behind your back or avoiding you. Being open about it so you can correct your behaviour quickly is less awkward for everyone.

Feels thread has shat itself to death again so I'll pose this as a question instead: If you were moving and had to choose between a cheap apartment that would leave you lots of money for burando but was in a shitty* area where you didn't feel comfortable going out in lolita, or an apartment in a nice area with vintage shops, cute parks etc which meant you wouldn't be able to buy much brand for the next year, which would you pick? Assume there is no chance of taking a third option.

Wow, I didn't expect such unanimous responses! I'd probably consider a worse area if I had a car (a lot of the areas further out actually have much nicer apartments than the "nice" areas, so if you have your own transport or don't leave the house much it's actually a better deal), but the public transport in the shittier areas isn't great either so going to see friends elsewhere or to a meet in the city centre is hassle without one. I was wondering whether I'd really use the amenities since I did a variation on what >>9434806 suggested all last year - I got a shitty apartment in a good area for insanely cheap and spent all the savings on burando, but since I was working a lot and expected to be living there a few years I didn't really explore/appreciate the local area. I lived round the corner from a park and only went there twice! I kept saying "oh I'll go to X when I'm less busy at work" and before I knew it my contract was up, the landlord wouldn't renew it, and I can't get another flat round here without paying 2-3x the rent I was paying last year. sage for blog?
