I modified a McCalls pattern to fit more to what 9S wears. You could start from there.

Yup! It's my first time using a McCalls pattern too.

You'll want to move the seam lines around a bit though if you want it to match the jacket properly. I have the front piece as one big piece instead of a split piece like the pattern suggests.

I think most girls just feel like their body could always be improved somehow. I could name a few things with my body that I'm unhappy about, while some of my cosplay friends complain about their bodies almost weekly. I've been debating doing that too. It seems like it could work, you just have to make sure your stamp has the right curve for your skirt. Maybe layer some of those thicker foamie sheets? Not sure how those react to irons though.

Cosplay progress I found today from December cosplay. She's using suede, with fabric marker to do the inside design. It looks like the outside design was done with soutache; could be a good solution to those not interested in embroidery but want a raised design that paint wouldn't offer.

I'm fine with how the Adam cosplayer looks (don't know who exactly it is), but I really got issues with Eve, aka Leon Chiro. He's using denim pants and painted highlights on it, while it should be leather desu. He's using sclera lenses while I can remember (after playing and finishing the game) Eve doesn't have those kind of fully covered eyes ever. The bodypainting is rather sloppy as well. ahhhhgg fuck, I'm really struggling on 9s's coat- for starters, how would it go on? it's double breasted, but the left side of the coat has the "x" across where it would open and it looks like one panel anyways. secondly, I can't find any pattern suitable. someone else here posted a civil war style pattern, but i'm not confident or capable enough to modify that enough to look close to 9s's look.

This would look great without the adidas looking stripes at the bottom. Your bias tape there is WAY too thick- Unpick it and start again with either thinner bias or embroider/paint it.

As the other anons said the lines on your skirt are inaccurate and honestly take too much attention because of how bold they are. The construction is pretty solid, but I'd attach the white part of the gloves to the black part, as well as fix/change the feathers. Would love to see your boots if possible.

Is there a reason you're hiding your face? Besides not having the blindfold?

As for the blindfold, I'm somewhat able to see out of my cotton one, but vision is obviously not 100%. You can still see the shape of things and such so I didn't bump into anything or anyone. I was planning to do one with sheer fabric like >>9443126 suggested, but I didn't like the look of it at all.

Agree. I think it is designed with black and white in mind but the models are very sensitive to ambient lighting and the game environment so the contrast is always softened which you won't get IRL. If possible, maybe match what they're doing with the wig; off white if they're going white and soften/warm up the blacks more. More silver if their wig is darker.

I'd say the lining should definitely be more white than silver. The silver embroidery should still have a good contrast with the lining imo, so having a lighter lining will let the embroidery stand out more.

how would someone go about appliquéing velvet...? last time I worked with velvet, it was a fraying lint-filled nightmare... Maybe I should use velveteen since its shorter pile and looks more like the in-game model... seriously though, 9s's coat looks really like leather and suede. could have fooled me. luckily, that means cheaper material cost.

You'd probably want to stitch it down to some interfacing first and do the satin stitch around the design sections before cutting it out. Suede or flocking seem like the way to go if you're using pleather for the rest of the jacket though.

I am going to make this costume with a detachable skirt, I want to shoot in the white leotard 2B had on underneath as well. Does anyone have anymore reference photos of 2B in just the leotard? I looked high and low online and can not find anything worth saving to my files I have on her.

Is anyone opposed to seeing 2B cosplay made in latex? I am a latex designer. So far I have not seen this cosplay attempted in latex. Going by this photo of 2B here, that drawing looks like I could get away with making it in latex. What do you all think? I agree with the others that the material in most of 2B photos looks like a suede or velvet type material, even pleather works, but since so many others have made this costume in those materials. What do you think of this 2B that's pretty much everywhere on the internet right now? Sure the sword looks cool and she has a removable skirt, but I feel there's still so many things wrong. The boots and stockings for example are really incorrect.
