Go for the German Baltes Tropenstiefel. They actually resemble the models from TPP closer than the American Boots. Just got two pairs for 80€.

Essentially everything for Miller is Vietnam Era Stuff. Pattern 3 Jacket, because of the pockets. On the Pants you can just take BDU Pants, nobody will notice the difference.

Well, depending on what Outfit and what Snake. BB and V are fairly easy to make, but Sneaking Suits and Battle Dress are not ofc. But the Jungle Fatigues are super simple, once you know what to buy. Doesn't stop so many Nerds from buying the wrong stuff.

I cosplayed Paz at an Ohayo and Colossalcon before, but the first one I wore a wig, the second I just got lazy and used my hair, like in the last picture. I think the peak of my motivation for cosplay was making her bikini, but I haven't worked on cosplay since, and Ohayo's in a week and now I'm going to be that guy wearing the same cosplay years in a row. Sorry if my potato-ness is unwanted, I lurk way more than I post.

Found out that if you google image search "Revolver Ocelot" I pop up. Not on first page or so, but it's still cool seeing that I'm on there. I'm thinking about getting a replica Makarov along with a (rubber or wooden made) AK bayonet to do the version of him before he started carrying revolvers. Also need to get a more accurate pair of gloves too, even if the difference in design isn't horrible.

Anyone got any ideas on how to do the hipgun thing in MGSV (like he's doing with the FAMAS), without it hanging straight down? It seems like no matter how I strap it, the guns just want to droop.

That's not a FAMAS.

What you're looking for is a three point sling, which is attached around the middle of the gun, but not to the stock. Allows you to cross draw the rifle.

The gf did a Quiet with Sniper Wolf Skin. Was a lot of fun to have matching costumes

Your Psycho Mantis looks great, and I love how distinct your make up is even through the mask! That sounds pretty cool though, was he able to do the juggling as well or spinning? Nice. To be gear specific, they wear mukluk boots, a type of "ecws" gear. Artic boots in Afghanistan lol. But hey, its what they used. I would suggest those over the mire accurate ones, as they are mire an inflatable overboot and will work a blister in your feet faster than drag racing the flintstone wagon.

I just tuck my rifle under my lbe88 straps, still using a 2 point sling as well. It will droop but wont swing around. If its just an airshit should be fine.

I need to get a new picture. Have gotten some new propper brand OD BDUs that fit better, flight gloves closer to the green ones in game, an lbv 88 instead of the condor rig, etc Probably will be at PAX south, sans the hardware.

OG 107 does cover about 30 years of service with variations introduced every few years. That link should be damn close if not a perfect match.

What I've got isn't a US Jungle Boot, but the German Tropic Environment boot. It is like 1/4 of the Price of the US Jungle Boot but in terms of quality it beats the Rothco clone. I just wanted to show a cheap alternative, I think I wasn't clear enough.

As for MGS every day: I often stick to the Jungle Boots, worn by many characters throughout the series. Once you get used to them, you don't want to wear other shoes ever again

Any black low profile vest will do, since the molle vest goes over it. I used an OSFS concealable NIJ level 3A vest.

For the suit, I actually used a Beyond PCU 5 Glacier Jacket for the top and Orc Industries PCU level 5 pants for the bottom. They blend together so well that it looks like it's a flight suit.

Probably a dumb question, but are there not any files for 3d printing Venom Snake's horn/shrapnel flaoting around? I've seen tons of people selling the printed pieces, but usually shipping to anywhere non-US is through the roof. Trying out printing some stuff myself for the first time and while I've found the (unrelated) other designs I was looking for, what I thought would be a pretty simple find seems to be nowhere to be found. I'm the biggest newbie to 3d printing/modeling otherwise I'd try modeling them myself.

Don't get anything with Molle really. You just have to consider MG1 plays around 1999. So stick to stuff used then. Many fanarts stick to a Blackhawk vest, but it's a non modular one. Other fanarts have a similar vest to the XOF Troops in TPP. Tbh, you have many options to stick with, just make it look like it's from the time.

For inspiration you can also look up operators from the 90's. In Terms of Guns, don't get an M4. Get a Colt M727 or something similar.
