I've attached a recent costest I did for Youmu and, as you can see, the photos Nekocos uses are pretty accurate. The material feels substantial and definitely thicker than the first one I bought on Taobao.

It really depends on whether it's brand or not, if it's new or secondhand, whether it's printed or not and how popular the print is, how new the piece is, how rare it is, how much demand there is for it, etc.
There's not a single definite answer to this, basically. Some people can put together great coords for not a lot of money while others can and do drop $1K+ on a single piece. If you're new and starting from scratch you'll have to spend quite a bit on your first coord because you have to buy everything (including shoes, accessories and a petticoat), and you may not be knowledgeable enough to know where and how to find cheap brand. What I've done is I've compiled a list of my key measurements (bust, hips, waist, height, etc.) in both centimeters and inches,which means I just need to double check with sizing guides to figure out which size I am. - Sets are oftentimes more expensive since they are highly searched-for limited editions

Prit-Stick is trash, you end up with tons of globby glue and a terrible texture.

Eyebrow paste is better than prit-stick because it's MUCH faster, but again, that texture.

That's the point. What best of both worlds. What goes down in these meetups is generally a lot of small talk, chit chat, and photos. It's nice if you were really into lolita or cosplay, as you can then meet other people and talk about costume construction or recent brand releases.

A while aof i mentioned comparing front opening binders. The Les love boat zipper front binder gets uncomfortable quickly and does not bind well. Well, the responses itt already tell you how most people feel about you dressing up for kink reasons. If you still want to wear dresses around other people in public, the best I can suggest is to crossplay for a convention. It's an environment that already has a lot of weirdos, so at least you won't stand out as much, and unlike a small meetup, you won't be forced to endure close contact for hours, so there's less chance someone finds out you're a fetishist and works up enough hate to stir up drama. If you can't think of a character to cosplay, make up an anime/game, or do an AU, genderbend or OC. That way you don't need to stick to lolita's strict rules either.

As for friends, you do need some to help you out, though not necessarily fellow crossplayers or a girl posse. The pads aren't that warm and you only need three layers of legwear- a pair of normal fitting panty hose which allows you to easily position the pads and holds them in place while you put on a compression layer- opaque tights that are slightly too small. The add a top layer of normal fitting opaque tights that will be visible, and you're done. In the case of Tracer, the top layer will be the bodysuit.

Attached is a pic of my pads. They're made of 1" foam and carved to be tapered to a thin edge. You put them on smooth side out. The Africa pad, on the left, can be used alone or with the smaller round pad underneath it for curvier hips.

You can also add an oval shaped pad (not pictured) in either 1/2" or 1" foam positioned over the butt for a larger rear end.

You have layers for shaping your butt, hips, and legs. Add in a potential stomach cincher for that hourglass shape (if your outfit can hide the cincher). Then you have the bra stuffing; all the methods I've used heat up a lot. And then you have the clothes, which for me is on the stuffier side, since I like the aesthetics of lolita fashion. So yea, it gets hot and sweaty easily

You don't need silicone breastforms but you will need to put something in there. Guys in this thread need to bear in mind that your chest measurement being below the max bust of women's clothing doesn't mean it'll fit at all. If it's anything fitted, a woman's ribcage is going to be much smaller than her bust, while yours is going to be basically the same. I'm not sure what you mean by "transformation". I didn't change anything about myself to start crossplaying- but it did take a couple of outfits before I got my padded proportions balanced and learned what type of outfits looked best on me. Check contouring guids - highlights make something look closer to the viewer, darker colours make it look further away and thus less pronounced. Subtlety is key here, don't just paint it brown.
Other than that, and this goes for all flaws: Draw attention away from your problem area by making a different part of your face draw in that attention. Depending on what fits the costume, bright lips, colourful eye-shadow, slightly unnatural "animeesque" circle lenses, you get the idea. Again, subtlety warning, you don't want to look like a clown.

I'm girl who cosplays lots of young/feminine males (pic related) and am unsure how to do about that, makeup-wise. All the crossplay tutorials I've found involve very hypermasculine traits like large eyebrows and dramatic contours and stubble, and that'd be weird with most of my characters, but I still don't want to be immediately identifiable as female. Finding that happy medium is hard.

You just gave yourself the explanation. If these people had the brain cells to tell when it's appropriate to change into this role, then it would make any discussion obsolete. However, if you read through different threads on this board (cringe, horror stories, com stories etc), you will notice that this doesn't apply to everyone at all.

Most people here are enormously annoyed by sissies since quite a few of them tend to use (mostly) lolita for fetish purposes and force their sexual interest on others in public which often comes with other inappropriate behaviours or even sexual harassment. I guess this does also apply to dd/lg. Most people don't give a fuck what you are doing at home in your bedroom as long you have the common sense to keep it there and don't force your fetishes on others who are not involved or interested in these things.


If you disregard that then you shouldn't be all startled if people talk shit about you. After looking up the character, in that specific outfit, I have to say that the clothes don't look particularly girlish, it's just the way that the face and hair were drawn that make him look more feminine. So as far as I can tell, that outfit falls into a more unisex category, and therefore isn't crossdressing, but that's just my opinion on it, and since I don't know the source material I have a good chance to be wrong.
