i know it's a new print so i didn't quite dig too deep, but cirque du l'etoile napoleon is probably the most hideous dress i've seen in a long time... i already hate tartan/plaid in lolita and the busy print on top of it really just makes me want to vomit

Time ago, I was crazy for nebula / galaxy prints, and at first sight I thought I've found the perfect dress, BUT
The colors were so crashing, that print was so much itself, and in that supersaturate the dress.

I love toned down, simple and clean coords, and I cannot found the way to wear that dress without make an OTT coord

It was so frustrating.

I love some of their other print ideas, but their construction is truly awful and is never executed properly, especially If you own some of their older stuff. You can't fully appreciate hate for Little Prince until you've seen it worn.

That's because AP gets a pretty diverse portfolio of designs, and people have various tastes. Not a hive mind here. Personally, I like Cats Tea Party and would probably buy one if it was the kind of dress that went for $200, only because I like the color palette and the blocking, and even though I'm not big on cats it would be a good filler dress. But, it isn't $2000 worth for me. Some people think it is the most beautiful thing ever. AP just puts out a wide range of products and looks.

I definitely agree with you guys and AP is the majority of my closet.
My favorite stuff of theirs is like 2008 - 2011 super sweet prints but even then there are some that I dont really like (like decoration dream, dreaming macaroon). You can definitely tell theres a big difference in AP from early old school stuff, to the OTT trend, to the muted dreamy larme-esque stuff they are doing now.

Dream marine, pretty much every cut and color looks like a dress you could buy for your Barbie doll in 1999. The motif, the color pairings, the giant bows and tent like shape.....the skirt in white is least offensive to me but I would still never be caught dead in it.
