It's the arms that do it, Rein has crazy gigantic gorilla arms. You MIGHT be able to play with perspective to make them look bigger but it would seriously infringe on the number of poses you could do down to maybe one or two.

Basically, you need to make the arms longer than your actual arms and add fake hands. Depending on how complex you wanted to get, the hands could be fixed in place or articulated, and either mechanically or electronically controlled.

As for the gun, it's sort of tough because there's no canonical holster for it, so you kind of have to hold both props in your hand if you have both of them. I've casually thought about cosplaying Mercy and decided that I'd probably either use magnets to hold it against my side or add some sort of underarm holster that fits with the rest of the design.

My problems with her are exactly what you said -- the hair being number one. Secondly, I think she could've done something to make herself look a little less out of shape. As a powerlifter, I know that not all powerlifters look anything more than fat sometimes. Pic related. This girl is like 16 and benches 240lbs.

However, Zarya has muscle definition, and that's an important part of her character design, and I think that could've been helped on stage with makeup. I would be equally disappointed by a skinny Roadhog.

I at least made everything so an attempt was made even if it was admittedly half-assed. Any good tutorials you'd like to link to me to? Or even patterns? The only ones I could find were VERY expensive or long sold out.

Pretty much all cosplayers do this now and most of the time it is the fault of the photographer, not the cosplayer, but if you are working with a photographer who edits your images and frankly the end result makes you feel good, I don't know why you wouldn't want that version of you posted. She very open with how she looks on her facebook. I don't know how people who follow her are surprised? Even in her YouTube videos. She doesn't hide her body from anyone or try to make people believe she doesn't look a certain way. A good photographer will shoot you at flattering angles to get the best shot of you and the costume itself. Compared to her real face and figure, it doesn't look like much photoshop went into the photos either. I'm confused as to where the hate is coming from. I honestly think she can shimmy the corset lower, but this is the best Mei corset attempt crossover thing so far, so I give it that. Its not bunched in the crotch which is nice.
