You can get pretty good loliable blouses and cutsews on yahoo auctions for cheap, even with the yen being higher (I've gotten deals for 1000 yen and even less sometimes but without shipping/fees/all that good stuff). Guess there will be your problem. I'm looking for LL stuff too right now and the amount of LL stuff shops offer isn't very broad. So you need to look for each individual outfit you wish to get. If you're lucky, you may find a shop though that offers different sets, if you rubbed your golden duck of luck, even with some reviews/pictures of your wished outfit and, if you're the a very lucky child, it'll have decent qualitiy for the price too. Also even if a shop does offer different costume sets, their quality may vary too.

So you better think about which specific set you actually want to buy and then look out for decent offers. You won't find a "one perfect shop for everything".

I just went to measure my head for you anon. Most wigs are one size fits all so I've never seen an actual measurement for them either, only some ppl recommending ones that fit their own large(r) heads.

I have one from aoi and I love it, fibres are beautiful and doesn't tangle that crazily (also i religiously comb it or finger comb it throughout the day if I'm wearing it). I do wear it with the elastic hooks attached to the most outer setting thing and I also have long thick hair so that may be taken into account for when I pin it all up under there.

Use Dotdotbuy. Great if you're just adding stuff to your cart and buying them. Can't do any custom ordering stuff with them though, haven't tried pre-orders/reservations either. It's in Chinese, but has the exact same interface as Spreenow/Bhiner, but with way more shipping options and better shipping prices. New customers don't pay a service fee either. They'll remove packaging from your items if you request to lower the shipping weight. None of that "pick a shipping method before seeing the actual weight of the items" like Bhiner does either.

i only use tbt. If you had a made to order item or if any item had issues getting to them (seller oversold but is getting new stock soon), they don't tell you and just expect you to magically know. I have to bug them all the time over that kind of stuff, they have always been 100% honest with me and offered refunds when sellers are being terrible but they are bad at informing their customers of problems. Shoot them an email, they always respond to me within 12 hours and they will contact the seller that has issues and send you a transcript of the conversation as well as a tl;dr.

Ok so 3 of my Miss Point items have arrived and more have just been shipped from Taobao, so I said I'd do a review. When the rest of the stuff turns up, I'll do a review of those when they get in.

Firstly I want to talk about the ordering process. It was pretty easy, I used dotdotbuy(since I know a bit of basic chinese, enough to make the order and handlle any basic issues that may have come up). I just added the measurements to the products I was ordering. If you aren't comfortable with taking a gamble like that, I would recommend using a SS with a good grasp of English. I was charged no custom fees(despite being very fat) and the items arrived at the ware house quickly. I also got a free gift of a notebook and a storage box

The first item I'll talk about is:

The fabric on the waistcoat and skirt seems to be a blend of wool and something else(maybe polyester?). While the fabric is scratchy like wool, it isn't as bad as something made with 100% wool. The fabric feels like it is very good quality with a decent weight and the lining is nice and soft. The skirt has a lace trim which is soft and not scratchy and some rickrack, which isn't too obnoxious.

I had 3 issues with the skirt(with only 1 being major), there was a loose thread(which was easily removed), the zip is poor quality and refuses to open and close at times(I'm going to run a pencil down it and see if it will work better) and it may need to be replaced. The 3rd issue is that Miss point didn't make the skirt long enough(which is strange because the jsk and the HW skirt are both long enough for me). It's still wearable but I may need a flatter petti to go under it.

The waistcoat fits perfectly and it comes with corset lacing on the back allowing me to tighten it should I lose weight. The buttons were sewn on very well and the buttonholes were open. The lining is a black poly fabric, with a damask pattern on the collar lining(meant to be visible).

The stitching on this item was perfect and it had the least "chemical smell" of all three garments.

Overall I'd give it a 9/10. Ignore my shitty photog skills.

Honestly this is the least favourite of my items. The material feels very "plasticy" and cheap in comparison to the 1st item. There is a strong chemical smell off the JSK, so strong that I have it hanging up by an open window to try and get rid of the smell. The lace on the jsk is very rough, plasticy and cheap in comparison to the first item. There doesn't appear to be a zip on the dress. The waist ties are attached to the jsk.

The stitching is fine, there were no loose threads and the fit was perfect.

It's crazy how much better the fabric on the skirt was in comparison to the jsk. Not as plasticy feeling and it is very soft in comparison. The skirt fits well, with the correct length etc. The skirt comes with shirring and corset lacing and has a nice trim on it(idk the name of the trim). The skirt is lined and is comfy to wear. The chinese knots are very cute on the front of the skirt.

The stitching is excellent, no loose threads and the boning is very well done. This item is easily my favourite at 10/10.

See, that's my problem with taobaoring. I love their customer service - super fast to respond (once I messages them right before a preorder was ending and they responded within ~8 hours and I was able to get the dress right away). Unfortunately since their paypal payments go by USD or whatever, not only do I get charged extra from the set conversion, CAD is weak against USD so that works against me too. They also charge domestic shipping by doing a flat charge per store no matter how many items you order from there. With other SS, I paid the actual value (and if the domestic shipping was free I didn't pay anything). So depending on how you order it can work against you as well (ordering many little things from many stores as opposed to from one store).

Basically, left is Korean elastic netting and the right is Chinese (Made in China) rose netting. Basic gist is that the Korean one has a lot of stretch to it and is supposed to be very comfortable, very suitable for daily wear and pictures. I've used it twice successfully and there are definitely pros and cons so it really depends on your needs. I'm one of the anons posting about dealing with them over the last few months; had a bag missing, items the wrong color, then delayed shipping.

Anon is messing with you, that obviously depends on the brand. Plenty of dresses get put up after preorder, and some even re-release. I just bought Secret of Kells even though everything had sold out a few months prior.

Ecailles de Lune released Forest of Pipe Organ in December, I missed it, and then they released a summer chiffon version of the same print in July so I was able to get that.

Resellers might have a few pieces on hand as well. Don't despair.

So, this is the cream one. It's actually really cute, it pretty much looks just like the stock pictures. The only complaint I have, is that the ribbon isn't really tied in a neat bow like in the stock pictures, but it's still pretty so I don't really mind. Left picture is in direct sunlight, right one is the crappy lighting in my room.

Again, blouses are cute and look pretty much like the stock pictures. The material feels a bit itchy, I guess due to the golden threads? The lace is nice and on the black and the white blouse, it matches the color of the fabric perfectly. On the pink blouse it looks more cream thank pink, but it still looks okay-ish. Now, the color of the pink blouse is kinda disappointing to me. As I said, it's much brighter than I thought, even though I couldn't really capture that in the pictures as it was getting dark outside. I used my pink Btssb blouse for comparison, though, so you can still see the difference, even though the picture isn't completely true to color.

How do we know if an item does custom sizing? I'm looking at a blouse from HMHM and I thought they did custom sizing but can't find where we'd fill that information out.

Alright, sorry to disappoint. They're very nice tights, incredibly soft and the print is super pretty. But I cannot pull them up past mid-thigh. Weight isn't an issue as much as height is. You really gotta be tiny to put these on. I'm disappointed but not too much given that I didn't spend a lot.

Wristcuffs are very soft, lace doesn't look cheap. They are tight as hell though and I have skeleton wrists so I'd worry about that if you're considering them. Let me know if you want pictures of them.

Wigs are incredible. Super soft, natural looking, not shiny at all. I'm sad because I personally think the style isn't as flattering on me as I thought but I really want to try more of these. The bangs are super long, though, and need to be caught. If I ever needed more wigs, I'd do a Taobao order just for these ones. I included photos but let me know if you want more.
