It's a combination of changes to the cut, print, and any detailing on the dress. If a dress looks 'off', there's a good chance it's a fake.

So in an article from a news website thing got an interview with her and this is what shes said about her own style and stuff. From reading some articles, her wiki bio, fan stuff and some tumblr article breaking down some lyrics im just assuming this girl has some sort of mental issue. Shes had a lot of stuff happen to her that messed her up and she willingly admits she writes some songs about what happened in her life. Her alter ego basically "baby" or "crybaby" or whatever. The character the songs are about is just a crazy over the top child in adult themed situations.
